xerox 700 fault 010-321
good day gents, just replaced my esspwb on my 700, got past a few errors, cleared them up, now whenever i try to print i am getting 010-321. i can hear the machine start to try print, but jams and this comes up. i took fuser out, changed, still same error, i have read somewhere that resetting NVM 744-350 to 0 works on the xerox 250, but don’t want to try it on this machine as i am not sure it’s the same nvm for the 700. any suggestions? thanks

DC700 edoc says check fuser nip sensor, (actuator broken) and in UI diagnostics, 010-203 for hi/low change when actuating sensor. Could be one way clutch, gear drive, or fuser not pushed in all the way.

IF you are going to repair these type of machine, then you need the service manual. If you had this from day1 you would have been up and running long time ago.

I agree, but most people that come to this forum are not technicians, mainly owners of small shops that try to maintain their own machines. Most Xerox machines have no hard copy service manuals. A PWS laptop with edoc service documentation is cost prohibitive for most owners/operators with only one machine.

thanks i will invest in one shortly, but as this problem came by suprise (like all problems) and xerox do not service machines they didn’t sell here in the bahamas, and trying to get a tech to see you on the side is next to impossible im stuck trying to get this machine up myself and with the help of good guys like you all to try get it back up and running. thanks all for the assistance.

Hi Milo, long time. I worked on Xerox machines in Nassua Bahamas ,two trips, two weeks at a time. Hard to get parts shipped on a boat from Florida. Atlantis was fun to work at, but driving on the left side was like when I was in England, hard to get used to. The people are real pleasant to work with. You would really like it.

hell if you serious i would, need this repaired asap. need software on the 700, my software version is saying 0.0.0.0 after i did the switch of board and cleared everything.

I hear you. This is a new post for this same problem, read the previous post on this same problem machine. I guess, what i am saying, is this type of machine has a lot of adjustments that a tech must have in his tools for know-hows, otherwise he will be back and forth a lot or a lot of costly errors can occur.

Does anyone have any clue what this might mean?
The paper is getting jammed before the fuser because of this error message.

This could mean that the clip sensor on your fuser unit was dislodged.
this is normally caused by ejecting a jammed feed in a reversed direction
(jammed feed should be removed along the paper path which is the direction going out of the fuser.. to the right, and not the opposite direction no matter how small the paper travel that went into the fuser unit)
If service call takes a long time, you can fix this. there are a few screws on the bottom of the fusing unit, but to be sure just peek through the middle part near the bottom side of the fusing unit on the side where the paper enters, there should be a black clip that will appear not straight (which shows it got out of place, hence no papaer can go through it.) you can just open the fusing unit from below and reposition this clip, and it should start printing.Regards.

xerox 700 fault 010-321
good day gents, just replaced my esspwb on my 700, got past a few errors, cleared them up, now whenever i try to print i am getting 010-321. i can hear the machine start to try print, but jams and this comes up. i took fuser out, changed, still same error, i have read somewhere that resetting NVM 744-350 to 0 works on the xerox 250, but don’t want to try it on this machine as i am not sure it’s the same nvm for the 700. any suggestions? thanks

DC700 edoc says check fuser nip sensor, (actuator broken) and in UI diagnostics, 010-203 for hi/low change when actuating sensor. Could be one way clutch, gear drive, or fuser not pushed in all the way.

IF you are going to repair these type of machine, then you need the service manual. If you had this from day1 you would have been up and running long time ago.

I agree, but most people that come to this forum are not technicians, mainly owners of small shops that try to maintain their own machines. Most Xerox machines have no hard copy service manuals. A PWS laptop with edoc service documentation is cost prohibitive for most owners/operators with only one machine.

thanks i will invest in one shortly, but as this problem came by suprise (like all problems) and xerox do not service machines they didn’t sell here in the bahamas, and trying to get a tech to see you on the side is next to impossible im stuck trying to get this machine up myself and with the help of good guys like you all to try get it back up and running. thanks all for the assistance.

Hi Milo, long time. I worked on Xerox machines in Nassua Bahamas ,two trips, two weeks at a time. Hard to get parts shipped on a boat from Florida. Atlantis was fun to work at, but driving on the left side was like when I was in England, hard to get used to. The people are real pleasant to work with. You would really like it.

hell if you serious i would, need this repaired asap. need software on the 700, my software version is saying 0.0.0.0 after i did the switch of board and cleared everything.

I hear you. This is a new post for this same problem, read the previous post on this same problem machine. I guess, what i am saying, is this type of machine has a lot of adjustments that a tech must have in his tools for know-hows, otherwise he will be back and forth a lot or a lot of costly errors can occur.

Does anyone have any clue what this might mean?
The paper is getting jammed before the fuser because of this error message.

This could mean that the clip sensor on your fuser unit was dislodged.
this is normally caused by ejecting a jammed feed in a reversed direction
(jammed feed should be removed along the paper path which is the direction going out of the fuser.. to the right, and not the opposite direction no matter how small the paper travel that went into the fuser unit)
If service call takes a long time, you can fix this. there are a few screws on the bottom of the fusing unit, but to be sure just peek through the middle part near the bottom side of the fusing unit on the side where the paper enters, there should be a black clip that will appear not straight (which shows it got out of place, hence no papaer can go through it.) you can just open the fusing unit from below and reposition this clip, and it should start printing.Regards.

Here in this post, I’m explaining How to fix the error A system error has occurred 010-321 in your Xerox colour 550 series copier. If your machine is under maintenance you should call them to have it replaced. This introduction will help you to troubleshoot the common error 010-321 on your Xerox colour 550, Xerox 250, Xerox 240, Xerox 252, Xerox 260, Xerox 7765, Xerox 7775 models. We are sharing few methods to fix the error, so check them one by one until it gets solved.
Fix 010-321 error code
The A system error has occurred 010-321 code of fuser unit, usually, fuser nip fail. First of all, check if there any obstructions inside the printer. The fuser has a nvm and you want to reset it. Then follow these steps.
- Press and hold the zero (0) button for 5 seconds.
- Then press the start button and dial the password 654321 and confirm it.
- After this, you have to press the key button/log out button.
- Then go to system settings, common settings, maintenance or diagnostic.
- Then we will go to nvm read/write. Press 74435 on the chain link. Dial “0” on the new value column.
- Then save and confirm it. Close it. Press the exit button. The machine will restart itself and code will be gone out.
If the problem persists
- remove and reinstall the fuser unit.
- Check the fuser connector.
- Replace the fuser unit.
Find out the reason behind this error code in your copier, then replace that spare. If the problem persists again, it is better to call a Sharp Technician.
