I have downloaded IBM Client SDK 4.10 FC5DE for Windows x64. When I proceed to install it, InstallAnyWhere popups saying «Preparing installation files…». When it reaches to 100% below error is shown and installation terminates:

And If I click on details button its show stack trace:

My OS is Windows 8.1 Pro and I have the last Java x86 and Java x86_64 installed on my system. Java x86_64 is the only activated in Java configuration panel. If I activated both, it does not work either. Leaving activating Java x86 it does not work either.

Below the Java packages installed on my system:

  • Java 8 Update 151
  • Java 8 Update 151 (64-bit)
  • Java(TM) SE Development Kit 6 Update 24

So any ideas on what is happening?

SOLVED:
I have solved it.

In order to work you need to set Compatibility Mode to Windows 7 for setup ( executable file).

Right click on setup file, go to compatibility tab, and then set «Compatibility Mode» to «Windows 7». Also in configuration, you can check «Launch this program as Administrator».

РЕШЕНО : Я решил это.

Для работы вам необходимо установить режим совместимости Windows 7 для установки (исполняемый файл).

Щелкните правой кнопкой мыши файл установки, перейдите на вкладку «Совместимость» и установите для параметра «Режим совместимости» значение «Windows 7». Также в конфигурации вы можете поставить галочку «Запустить эту программу от имени администратора».

Изменить совместимость с windows 7

Отметьте это (это не тот же продукт, но выглядит как та же ошибка)

Установка может быть успешно завершена, если для двух файлов ниже установлен режим совместимости с Windows 7.

Файл 1: launchpad64.exe launchpad.exe, в зависимости от того, какую разрядную версию вы планируете установить.

File2: в зависимости от используемой версии панели запуска, 64 или 32 бит, перейдите в. win86_64 (если вы используете launchpad64.exe) или b. Папка win86_32 (если вы используете launchpad.exe).

Если вы устанавливаете как администратор, измените совместимость install.exe на Windows 7.

Если вы устанавливаете как текущий пользователь, измените совместимость userinst.exe на Windows 7.

Запустите launchpad64.exe или launchpad.exe от имени администратора.

Ответ Канильяс работает, но это обходной путь. Режим совместимости с Windows представляет собой совершенно новый уровень потенциальных проблем. Фактически, это уровень, который принимает системные вызовы и пытается имитировать их работу в предыдущей версии Windows, используя текущую версию Windows.

Проблема в версии JRE. Используйте 1.8u45. Если вы не хотите добавлять папку bin в переменную PATH, то запустите установщик с параметром LAX_VM, указывающим на java.exe.

Я не знаю, что изменилось в следующей сборке JRE, но что-то сломало версию InstallAnywhere, которую вы используете.

Сегодня я столкнулся с этой проблемой. Установить режим совместимости для Windows 7 не работает для меня. Но этот способ делает: Панель управления -> Система -> Расширенные настройки системы -> Переменные среды -> Добавить новую пользовательскую переменную:

  • Имя: JAVA_TOOL_OPTIONS
  • Значение: «-Dos.name = Windows 7»

Не запускается 5-ый Zend после установки

Привет!

Сталкнулся с такой проблемой: после установки 5-го Zend’а и ввода ключа приложение выдает следующее сообщение об ошибке

К сожалению, данные сообщения об ошибках мне ни о чем не говорят (о причине).
Пробовал уже переустанавливать несколько раз, чистил реестр — результат тот же. Иногда Zend вообще не запускался, хотя в процессах висел.

В свою очередь Zend 4-ый запускается нормально.

В чем может быть проблема?

Resolving The Problem

Run ITIC’s setup.exe in Windows 7 compatibility mode.

1. Right click on setup.exe
2. Click Properties
3. At compatibility tab :-
Compatibility Mode: checked
select ‘windows 7 ‘
4. Click OK to close the file properties.
5. Run ITIC’s setup.exe again.

Hello,
I am having an issue with the game as of one of the past updates.
Unfortunetly have not played the game for many months, so I dont know which release/update/patch caused the issue but I have over 100 hours played so it is a new(ish) issues for sure.

I have the steam version.

I am able to open the launcher, and launch the game, the initial screen will appear but then the game crashes before I hit the main menu.
The error message after the crash says:
«An error has occurred and the application quit quit unexpectedly. a crash report has been generated which could help us to fix the issue in a future»
When I try to send the error report, this fails also.

I have tried:
— Updating my NVIDIA drivers
— Unintalling and re-installing the game
— Verifying the integrity of the game files in steam
— Opening the .exe file as administrator (I get a blank window instead of the launcher)

Please let me know if I can provide any other useful information .

Please do a full **clean** re-install:

— move any valued save games elsewhere
— «uninstall» in Steam-CK3
— manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/CK3 AND Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3 folders
— re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
— add CK3.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware «Apps Allowed Through» list.
— start the game with no mods active and test

In particular make sure there are no files or folders left under either the Steam CK3 or Documents CK3 locations, before installing again.

If those don’t help:
DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the ‘save all information’ button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Sorry for the late response here, I’ve been really busy and have really slow internet so it’s hard to find a time to do a fresh instal.

Anyway, I followed all the steps above and have the same error.

Requested files are attached in a zip file.

excptions.log file does not exist.

Lots of DirectX 11 errors, plus other video problems in there. While your nVidia driver is pretty recent, being on Windows 8.1 is not ideal — were you at all thinking of updating that OS?

Right click on ck3.exe , properties, compatibility. Tick «disable fullScreen optimisations» untick every other box in that dialog, Apply and exit.

Then in the launcher Game Settings menu, select fullScreen display mode, Vsync off, refresh rate 60.

Is that any better?

If not, edit that pdx_settings.txt file and replace DX11 with OpenGL .Does it load then?

I tried doing a clean reinstall, but nothing helps. I tried to run as admin, tried to change DX11 with OpenGL, tried to add CK3.exe to exceptions in Defender
I attached the DxDiag and pdx settings, however I do not have a logs folder in the CK3 folder.
Let me know if you need anything else

Thank you for getting back to me, apologies about using the same thread.
If I run CK3.exe the game launches, goes to loading screen with the art and then crashes to desktop with no message.
I did launch CK3 on this laptop a few times about a year ago.

Ah, that is usually an antivirus app getting in the way. What antivirus app do you use? You need to make sure all these apps are in its exceptions lists:

ck3.exe (in the Steam CK3-binaries folder)
dowser.exe (in the Steam CK3-launcher folder)
C:/users/{username}/AppData/Local/Programs/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2.2023.1.1/paradox launcher.exe
C:/users/{username}/AppData/Local/Programs/Paradox Interactive/bootstrapper-v2.exe

IF that doesn’t help, also set each of those .exe files (EXCEPT ck3.exe !) to run as the Windows Admin user.

Then the game should run from Steam/our launcher, and enable all the DLCs.

I set each of those except for ck3.exe to run as Admin.

Here is what happens:

When I launch from Steam I get a Widows prompt to confirm running dowser.exe as administrator. I press ok, the launcher opens and shows me a steam runtime communication error. I can Exit or Ignore it. If I Ignore it and press play, I get «an unknown error from Steam».

I also tried launching the ck3.exe. The game launches directly, but if I try to change any settings it crashes to desktop. If I launch a New Game, it starts loading and then crashes to desktop with the (0xc000012d) error.

I have the ransomware feature tuned off entirely, so it can’t be that!

I don’t see any reason for this problem in those files.

Right click on ck3.exe , properties, compatibility. Tick «disable fullScreen optimisations» untick every other box in that dialog, Apply and exit.

If still a problem, also select Vulkan in that menu.

Anita, we could really benefit from having more to go on, about your situation. 

  • What OS are you on, and what version?
  • How are you doing the uninstaller, specifically?
  • Are you (the user you’re logged in as) the same user who installed cf?
  • Is cf able to run? I realize you want to uninstall it, but it could help as  confirmation of some things
  • Along those lines, had you or someone perhaps uninstalled the java that cf may be pointing to? And what version is that? And what version of java (if any) is reported, if you go to the command line and run «java — version»?

There can be any number of explanations for an error like that, so I hope these may start to get you to a solution, if no one else offers one sooner.
