I have already reinstalled and I’ve talked with the tech folks for MathType
(Design Science) three times. The tech had me do several different things,
including not just uninstalling MathType and reinstalling, but we also
cleaned up some lingering files.
I’ve run a repair on Office Pro 2007, as well as a total reinstall. But
I’ve still got the problem.
An additional note — if I try to open an existing equation — that was

Сам не работал с ним, но вроде там есть поддержка Юникода (в MathType нельзя использовать юникодовые шрифты, например Lucida Sans Unicode). В остальном — сомневаюсь, что он лучше MathType. Судя по отзывам, он формулы MathType не понимает…

Подскажите, установил MathType 6.0b ENG поверх MS Office 2007, но при попытке открыть меню MathType в Офисе получаю сообщение:
«The MathType commands couldn’t communicate with MathType. There was a problem starting the API. Please be sure that MathType was properly installed»
При попытке вставить объект MathType из меню Надйстройки получаю сообщение:
«The MathType DLL cannot be found. Please reinstall MathType».
Пробовал переустановить, но не помогает

Подскажите, такой вопрос.
Есть документ с кучей формул, сделанных в MS Equation (стандартные майкрософтовские формулы). Нужно все формулы оформить по определенному стилю MathType (размер индексов, шрифт и т.п.). Можно ли как-то применить стиль сразу ко всем формулам? А то заходить в каждую для изменения слишком утомительно…

Создал файл с предпочтениями, выбираю MathType -> Format Equations.
Почему-то не хочет, пишет «No equations were found and/or updated» Если зайти в формулу и выбрать в меню «Preferenced» мой файл с предпочтениями — все применяет.

Спасибо, конечно, но у меня были несколько другие проблемы, и те я уже решил (написал в той теме как).
А чтобы пришлось переустанавливать MathType — такого еще не было. Правда я им пользуюсь меньше года.
Офис у меня 2003, если что.

У меня в Word облать формулы получается необоснованно высокой.
Примерно так:

Какой параметр отвечает за рамку пустого пространства вокруг формулы?
Есть ли он в файле *.eqp?

Щелкните правой кнопкой по формуле и выберите Формат объекта… Здесь устанавливается обрезка (если <0, то поля добавляются). Наверное у Вас в Ворде где-то установлены ненулевые поля по умолчанию, возможно, в normal.dot. Попробуйте сбросить.

Спасибо, но дело в чём-то другом…
Информации по синтаксису формата .eqp, заявленному в заголовке как MathType INI v1 нет. И хоть назначение ключевых слов должно быть интуитивно понятно из их названия, с наскоку определить нужный пока не удалось.

Стоит отметить, что моя проблема возникла лишь на малых шрифтах около 4 pt — готовил шпоры . На обычных размерах ее нету, как видно здесь:
Следовательно, она не может быть указана в %, а значит, в файле *.eqp её нету и это просто некая абсолютная величина, резервное поле, встроенное в программу.
Вывод: для экономии места лучше формулы набирать обычным размером, а уменьшать уже непосредственно перед печатью средствами ПО принтера.

ИМХО проще изменить масштаб формул. Пишете макрос и вперед. Если не в физике, то здесь головой поработаете

Действительно, при масштабировании формулы как объекта в Word полезное свойство относительной малости пустой рамки сохранилось
но возникает другая проблема: вертикальное положение масштабированной формулы ужасно и не поддается изменению (только если через VBA, быть может?)

С подобным я когда-то сталкивался. Сейчас уже точно не помню как поборол. Железный вариант — установите межстрочный интервал точно (в пунктах или в чем там предлагается). Тогда расстояние между строками будет таким, как установлено, несмотря на то, что строки могут налезать друг на друга. Возможно еще, что формуле преписан атрибут высоты как букве и при масштабировании он не корректируется. Попробуйте выделить текст с формулой и назначить нужный кегль. Короче, пробуйте.

Ребята, помогите — у меня не редактируются объекты MathType.
Дабл-кликаю — ничего не происходит;
правой кнопкой кликаю, выбираю «Object» — пишет «The object is corrupt or is no longer available.»
Пробовал переустановить MathType — не помогло.
Стоит MathType 6.0 вместе с Office 2003.

Оказывается это произошло при копировании нескольких формул из одного документа в другой.
В новом документе объекты не приживаются, происходит такая бяка.
Как справиться с такой проблемой?

В контекстном меню они значатся как объекты MathType? У меня был как-то глюк, что после копирования формулы вставлялись как рисунки.
А новые формулы нормально создаются/редактируются?

Да, наверно, это как рисунки…
В контекстном меню значится надпись «Object…».
В строке статуса «Double-click to edit…» — бесполезная надпись.
Новые формулы нормально создаются и редактируются.
Как с этим справиться?

А ты «зайди» в них со старого документа, скопируй изнутри, создай новую формулу и вставь туда.

Да, большинство таких глюков так и решил.
Вот только что делать, если:
1) таких формул куча;
2) старого оригинала нет;
?
p.s. раз и навсегда перехожу на LaTeX
