When you start the TFTP server application tftpd32 or tftpd64, you may see the following error.

Bind error 10013
An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions.

Bind error 10013 indicates that the port is in use. You can confirm it by the following commands on the Command Prompt.

C:\Users\Administrator>netstat -abn | find «:69»
UDP 192.168.1.7:69 *:*

C:\Users\Administrator>netstat -abn | find «TFTP»
[TFTPWindowsService.exe]

You can save the entire process list by ‘netstat -abn > ports.txt.’

Now, you can kill the process by click ‘End task‘ on the Task Manager.

However, the TFTP Server could be running as a Service, so it might be restarted after you reboot the system. You may uncheck the Service on the System Configuration.

In Windows 10, click or tap inside the search box on the taskbar, start typing “system configuration” or “msconfig” and then click or tap the System Configuration search result.

netstat -anb > ports.txt

Then open ports.txt in Notepad and search for :69, you’ll quickly be able to see the process using the required port

У вас наверняка есть проблемы с разрешениями, то привязка терпит неудачу с указанной ошибкой.
Попробуйте решить проблему разрешения или попробуйте не связывать IP-адрес; это означает, что TFTP будет слушать «все» доступные сетевые адаптеры.

вы также можете попробовать Serva; лучше TFTP-сервер.

У меня та же проблема, и я обнаружил, что порт 69(TFTP) был пользователем в другом месте. Я просто использовал порт 70 (settings\TFTP) проблема ушла

I have followed these instructions for installing tftpd64 on my 64 bit Windows 10 OS:

When I do this I get an error when TFTP restarts. It says:

Bind error 10013 An attempt was made to access a socket in a way
forbidden by its access permissions. 69.254.119.202.

It doesn’t seem to matter which IP I choose from the «Bind TFTP to this address» dropdown in the Settings panel. I still get the error. An error also appears in the TFTP log viewer that says:

Error : socket returns 10022 [02/05
21:40:28:822]

How do I resolve this error?

I have just downloaded the 64bit version of tftpd32 to my Windows 7 64 bit OS.

When I open it gives the error: Bind error 10013. An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions.

The software will open once I click OK. After a few moments the tftpd server tab disappears. If I look in Services.msc the service is still running.

I don’t have any firewalls installed and the Windows Firewall is disabled. The only AV I am running is Security Essentials. I have added an exception for the tftpd executable and the installation directory. No luck — still get error.

Any ideas out there? I Googled and this error turns up a lot of stuff but nothing I saw was related to tftpd32

Try running netstat -anb or -anbo or use tcpview:

to check which program bind to which port.

Also try (temporarily) to disable/stop Security Essentials.

Thanks for that input. NetStat will end up showing tons of information. Do you know what ports specifically I am looking for? That is, ports that tftpd32 uses?

The «main» one should be port 69 (TFTP/UDP), than there might be port 67 (DHCP) but you never know (in the sense that sometimes windows errors/conflicts are really elusive , I mean, are you sure you are running the thingy as Administrator or as a service?)

Netstat -ano found nothing running on 67 or 69. Yes, I have right-clicked and selected run as administrator with the same results. I have also installed the tftpd32 service and it is currently running.

Please use this command to check whether the tftp server port was used by other application
netstat -aon | findstr «69
«If the port was used by other application, you can try to disable that application first， then try to enable the tftp server again
