    So I will jump right into assumption that you are playing on Windows since this is a Windows error rather than an Xbox error! I am sorry that receiving this error is taking away your game time. This error occurs usually when there is file damage, or driver
    issues. I would recommend uninstalling and then reinstalling the game. If that doesn’t work I would try running «sfc /scannow» in your command prompt, make sure to run the command prompt as Administrator first!

What Causes the State of Decay 2 Error Code 1006?

After going through some basic troubleshooting guides, we have compiled a list of possible triggers that might be causing it on your computer.

  • Firewall: It is possible that the Firewall installed on your computer might be preventing the State of Decay 2 from being able to connect to the servers. Therefore, we will be whitelisting it in the Windows Firewall to fix the Error Code 1006.
  • Date and Time Settings: In some cases, the Date and Time settings on your computer might not have been configured properly due to which the State of Decay 2 Error Code 1006 is being triggered. Therefore, in this guide, we have also listed a method to properly configure these settings.
  • Disabled Teredo Adapter: It is also important that the Teredo Adapter on your computer is enabled and is functioning properly. Therefore, in this article, we have also listed a method to enable this adapter, and doing so might fix the Error Code 1006 on your computer.
  • Outdated Drivers: It is also possible that the drivers on your computer might’ve been outdated due to which the State of Decay 2 Error Code 1006 is being seen while trying to connect to the servers.
  • DMZ Mode Disabled: If your router hasn’t been properly configured to handle insecure connections like the connections made while online gaming, you might be getting the State of Decay 2 Error Code 1006.

Before you start:

  1. Take the power adapter of your router out of the socket and wait for it to shut down.

  3. After waiting for a couple of minutes, power cycle the router by inserting its power adapters into the socket and wait for it to start.

  5. We also recommend you to use a dedicated GPU if you have installed multiple GPUs in your computer.

  4. From the left pane, click on “Outbound Rules” and make sure that the State of Decay 2 is allowed in the list located at the center of the screen.

  6. Save the settings and launch the game to check if you encounter state of decay 2 error code 1006 again.

  1. Click on the search button located on the taskbar and search for “Command Prompt”.
  2. Right-click on Command Prompt and select “Run as Administrator”.

  1. Press “Win + R” keys on the keyboard to open the run box and search for “Control panel”.

  1. Press the “Win + R” keys on the keyboard to open the Run box and search for “Control Panel”.

Solution 4: Activate Teredo adapter

  1. Click on the search button located on the taskbar and search for “Command Prompt”.

  4. If it is offline, execute the following command to enable the adapter in your computer

  5.  Now restart your computer to apply the settings and most probably the issue would’ve been resolved uptil now but if the problem still exists there is no need to panic, just proceed to the next potential fix indexed below.

Solution 5: Update all device drivers automatically

  1. Launch your favorite browser and download Driver Easy.
  2. Double-click on the downloaded executable file and install the tool by following the on-screen instructions.
  3. Click the “Scan Now” button to start the scanning process.

  4. Now a list will appear that will be comprising all of the outdated drivers on your computer. It is up to you that you update them selectively or collectively by clicking the “Update All” button at the bottom.

  5. When the drivers are updated successfully, restart your computer and check if the state of decay 2 code 1006 is resolved or not.

Solution 6: Restore your system

  1. Press the “Win + R” keys on the keyboard to open the Run box and search for “rstrui”.

  4. Scroll down until you see a setting for “Default Gateway” under Ethernet or Wi-Fi.

  5. Copy the router’s Default Gateway IP Address and paste it in your browser’s search bar to open your “Internet Settings”.
  6. From the left pane, click on “Forwarding” to expand its list and select “DMZ”.
  7. Click on the button parallel to “Enable” to enable the DMZ in your router.

  8. Save the settings and restart your router to check if the error code 1006 state of decay 2 is resolved.

  1. Open your favorite browser and download the Advanced System Repair.
  2. Now double-click on the downloaded executable file and follow the onscreen instructions to install the tool on your computer.
  3. When the tool is installed on your computer, launch it and click on the “Scan” button to scan for corrupted files and click “Fix all now” to fix all the corrupted system files on your computer.

Solution 9: Use a VPN

  1. Launch a browser on your computer and download Express VPN on your computer.

Оригинальный установщик от компании Undead Labs распаковывает файлы в большей степени в фоновом режиме. Ранее с этим установщиком уже возникали проблемы, он просто не хотел распаковывать определенные dll файлы, но разработчики быстро выпустили патч и проблема исчезла.

Сейчас давайте рассмотрим, с какими проблемами Вы можете столкнуться и как это решить до того момента, как разработчики выпустят патчи.

И так, если у Вас не устанавливается игра, давайте сделаем следующее:

  1. Проверьте свободное место на Вашем жестком диске. Важный момент, что даже если Вы производите установку на диск D, то это не значит, что не нужно следить за местом на C. Дело в том, что инсталлер создает временные файлы именно на C и тем самым забивает память диска.
  2. Свободное количество оперативной памяти. Да, действительно, может показаться, что это не важный параметр при запуске установки. Распаковка происходит при взаимодействии процессора, HDD и оперативной памяти. Если у Вас она забита, то установка не только будет идти медленней, но отобразится ошибка.
  3. Очистка реестра. Если Вы ранее уже когда-нибудь устанавливали State of Decay 2, то в реестр занесли данные про пути установки. Возможно в какой-то момент инсталлер считал именно эти данные.
  4. Отключите антивирус. Он может ошибочно принять файлы защиты за нежелательное или вредоносное ПО. Никаких вирусов в инсталлере нет, но вот ошибок Вы наверняка избежите.
  5. Запустите установку с правами администратора. Некоторые файлы могут не иметь права на чтение или изменение, в данном случае Вы конечно получите ошибку.

Если при двойном нажатии на ярлык или лаунчер у Вас просто ничего не будет происходить, то на это есть несколько причин. Все довольно просто — при запуске ярлыка определенная dll-ка не хочет отдавать нам нужные данные. Давайте попробуем использовать стандартные рекомендации для решения это проблемы.

  1. Проверьте название пути к файлам игры. Обратите внимание на проблемы и кириллические буквы. Этого всего конечно не должно быть, ведь они превращаются в нечитабельные символы, которые приводят к потере нормального пути установки.
  2. Проверьте «Карантин» Вашего антивируса. Возможно как раз туда попала нормальная dll-ка или важный exeшник. Обязательно достаньте его от туда.
  3. Установите последнее обновление игры через Steam или там, где Вы покупали игру. Это очень важно, если разработчики заметили различного рода проблемы, они конечно выпускают патчи. Возможно в нашем случае именно так и случилось.
  4. Обязательно попробуйте запустить с правами администратора. Это можно сделать, если выбрать «Свойства» ярлыка и в графе «Совместимость» выбрать «Запускать с правами администратора».

Оптимизация игры как заявляли разработчики, находится на достаточно хорошем уровне. Некоторые игроки обратили внимание на проседания FPS как в самом начале, так и в некоторых моментах. Давайте попробуем применить базовые методы для решения данного вопроса, пока разработчики не выпустили патч.

  1. Самое простое — это проверить системные требования State of Decay 2. Действительно ли Ваш ПК находится на уровне «Рекомендуемых».

  5. Последний патч. Как и писали ранее, очень часто сами разработчики в курсе этой проблемы и возможно уже выпустили специальное обновление, которое позволяет повысить FPS на определенных ПК.
  6. Обновите драйвера видеокарты. После выхода игры, обычно разработчики видеокарт выпускают специальные драйвера, которые помогают картам лучше обрабатывать заскриптованные dll файлы и помещать их в видеопамять. Проверьте наличие обновлений.

  4. Включаем его и вводим 192.168.1.2

4. Fix the Teredo adapter

  1. Type cmd in the Windows Search bar and click Run as administrator.
  2. In the command line, type the following commands one by one and press Enter after each:
    • netsh
    • int ipv6
    • set teredo client state of decay 2 error code 10
  3. The Teredo Tunneling adapter should appear in the Device Manager under the Network adapters section.
  4. Restart your PC and update Windows 10 again.

Most of the users won’t need a Teredo Tunneling adapter. However, you must install it to communicate on Xbox Live and play Microsoft’s multiplayer games.
