Actually in my case, I am trying to upgrade WinRAR from v5 to v5.01 ,and I’ve not closed WinRAR program window that was already opened before install, that’s why got that error.
Solution is pretty simple, if you’re updating an older version, make sure WinRAR is not running, close it, ending WinRAR.exe process will do. Now try to install WinRAR again, you’ll without any issues.

anyone has any idea why i cant install itunes on my computer? i tried the itunes cd and itunes from itunes.com and everytime i try to install it, i get an error:

i tried rebooting and same error message.

After click on the open config link on the error report page I located this key part for the problem

In C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Local\Temp\1\setup.wix.msi.34.log we find this error in the middle of the file

Проблема здесь заключается в том, что несколько файлов, которые мы пытаемся установить, уже есть на машине. Чтобы исправить эту проблему – надо удалить существующие файлы. В случае с MS SQL Server’ом 2008 необходимо открыть папку C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10.(instance name)\MSSQL\DATA и удалить два файла — Demo Database NAV (6-0).mdf и Demo Database NAV (6-0)_log.LDF.
После этого запустите инсталлятор снова и выполните восстановление (Repair).

Every hour or so, a window will come up, saying «Some files could not be created. Please close all applications and reboot windows, then try again.» When I click ok, a new window comes up showing one of 2 exes ABCD1.exe and ABCD2.exe and an error.(http://i.imgur.com/zTw7Y.png) . I found these files in AppData\Local\Temp\9058-E642B14119D6, I deleted the entire folder, yet it keeps coming back. What can I do to completly get rid of it?

We are develop backend on .net core + EF Core and our services run under IIS on web server, The frontend we develop on Swift (app on iPAD) Our customers to used the server all the time (daytime and nighttime) We can’t stop services on IIS when we have
new update patch.Question:
- How we can overwrite dll files on IIS when our customer still used the services.
- How we can update new update patch on the server and don’t stop the application pool / stop services on IIS.
- We can’t use ONE customer per ONE application pool, because we have more customers on one server, we can’t use this solution.
- If you have other solutions for resolve on the problem please suggestion with us.
