Но если хотите, чтобы sfc /scannow проходил без ошибок, придется проделать пункт с восстановлением из установочного образа или диска.

Spicework Doesn’t Start OpenService FAILED 1060

I got an issue hopefully someone out there can help me with.

My Spiceworks server was working nice and unexpect stop working. The Spiceworks services stop and give Event ID 7009 and 7000

Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for the spiceworks service to connect.

The spiceworks service failed to start due to the following error:
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

I tried sc query spiceworks and said:

[SC] OpenService FAILED 1060:

The specified service does not exist as an installed service.

Later i tried sc query and didn’t list Spiceworks services.

Please someone help me i have got one server down and i don’t know what to do.

Is the spiceworks.exe running? You can verify via task manager.

If you could access the spicetray icon in the system tray and right click it, that should tell you if it’s setup to run as a service. If you don’t see the spicetray icon, try double clicking the spiceworks desktop icon in the $spiceworks home directory.

If it is checked to run as a service, then I would also look at the log file in the $spiceworkslog directory for any clues as to what might be going on.

This is why you get the error JAVA_HOME environment variable must be set! when the service.bat file is executed.
Try rebuilding.

I got the same error when I tried running it again. I tried copy &pasting the link for the jdk8 download link [http://download.oracle.com/otn-pub/java/jdk/8u131-b11/d54c1d3a095b4ff2b6607d096fa80163/jdk-8u131-windows-x64.exe] in a browser and this is what I got:

Searching for the jdk8 download site, it seems like users now need to «Accept License Agreement».

You dont have to manually install jdk8. chocolatey will handle the download and installation of it. Will check if the issue is reproducible on my side.

You may encounter the ‘Failed to Connect to Rockstar Games Library Service’ error mainly if the Rockstar Games Library service is not enabled. Moreover, the corrupt installation of the game can also cause the issue at hand.

6. Then, save your changes and exit Disk Management.
7. Now restart your system and then check if the game is clear of the error.

Solution 2: Enable the Rockstar Game Library Service

Rockstar Games Library Service is essential for the operation of the game. You may encounter the error under discussion if this service is not running in the background (you accidentally disabled it or it got disabled by default through some third-party service). In this case, enabling this service may solve the problem.

1. Right-click on the Windows button and then click on Task Manager.
2. Then navigate to the Startup tab.

Warning: Proceed at your own risk as editing registry requires a certain level of expertise, and if done wrong, you may severely damage your system and data.

1. Press Windows key and in the search bar, type Registry Editor. Then in the search results, right-click on Registry Editor and click on Run as Administrator.
2. Now navigate to the following path:

   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Rockstar Service

3. Then edit the key “ImagePath” and make sure its path value is inside the quotes.
4. Save your changes and exit the registry editor.
5. Now restart your system and then check if the game is clear of the error.

Solution 4: Uninstall the Social Club Application

Social Club is installed with the game but is not vital for the actual gameplay. Instead, it can create the issue under discussion if its installation has corrupted. Sometimes a new update of the game may break the dependencies between the Social Club application and the game, which can also be the cause of the Library Service error. In this context, uninstalling Social Club may solve the problem.

1. Press the Windows key and in the search bar, type Control Panel. Then in the search results shown, click on Control Panel.
2. Now, click on Uninstall a Program.
3. Then right-click on Social Club and then click on Uninstall.
4. Now, restart your system.
5. Upon restart, open file explorer and navigate to the Social Club folder. Usually, it is located at:

6. Now, backup the Rockstar Games’ folder to a safe location.
7. Then delete the Launcher folder and Social Club folder.
8. Now restart your system and then check if the game is operating fine.
9. If not, manually download and install the Social Club application and then check if the game is clear of the error.

Solution 5: Reinstall the Game

If nothing has helped you so far, then the issue may have been caused by the corrupt installation of the game. In this scenario, reinstalling the game may solve the problem.

For Non-Steam Version

1. Exit the launcher and kill all of its running processes through the Task Manager.
2. Uninstall Social Club, as discussed in Solution 4.
3. Press Windows key and in the search box, type Control Panel. Then in the search results shown, click on Control Panel. Then click on Uninstall a Program.
4. Now right-click on Grand Theft Auto V and then click on Uninstall.
5. Then restart your system.
6. Upon restart, open File Explorer and navigate to the following paths and delete all the files including folders present in the folder::

   C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto V\
   
   %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Rockstar Games\GTAV
   
   %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Rockstar
   
   %temp%"

For Steam Version

1. Open Steam and navigate to Library. Right-click on GTA V and then click on Uninstall.
2. Exit Steam and restart your system.
3. Upon restart, open File Explorer to navigate to the following path and Delete all the files/folders in this folder.

   C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V\

4. Follow Step 6 of the Non-Steam version to delete the related files/folders.

Now reinstall the launcher/game and check if it is clear of the error.  Moreover, if you are trying to install the game on a drive that is not a system drive, you may also face problems with the installation. In this case, try to install the game on the system drive.

Can’t connect to Rockstar game library services?

If you cannot connect to the Rockstar Game Library Service, chances are the service itself is disabled. Since it is not a built-in Windows service, it can be unstable. Other reasons include misconfigured Registry Editor, outdated OS, and drivers, the presence of conflicting software, etc.

1] Turn on Rockstar Game Library Service

If the Rockstar Game Library Service is disabled, there is no way your game can connect to it. This is not a built-in Windows service, instead, it gets installed when you install the Rockstar Game Launcher on your phone. Because of this, it is a bit unstable and can get disabled because of various reasons. What we need to do is enable it from the Services app. Follow the given steps to do the same.

1. Open Services.
2. Look for Rockstar Game Library Service.
3. Right-click on it and select Properties.
4. Set Startup type to Manual and click on Start.

Now, close the app and open Rockstart Launcher. Hopefully, your issue will be resolved.

2] Check the Registry Value

You need to make sure that the value of the ImagePath key is inside quotes. Otherwise, you will see the error message in question. We need to check if the value of the key is correct on the system. But before that, we would recommend you take a backup of your registries. Once the backup is created, open Registry Editor and navigate to the following location.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Rockstar Service

Look for ImagePath, double-click on it to open and check if the values are inside quotes, if not, change them, and click Ok to save. Finally, close Regedit, restart your system, and open Rockstar Game Launcher. This should do the job for you.

3] Update Windows and Device Drivers

You may also encounter this error because of a bug. The only way to get rid of it is by updating your device drivers. So, check for Windows updates and download them if available. As for the device drivers, you can use any of the following methods to update them.

1. Go to the manufacturer’s website and download the latest version of your driver.
2. Install Driver and Optional Update from Windows Settings
3. Update your drivers using the Device Manager.

Once your drivers and OS are updated, try launching the launcher, it should work this time.

4] Troubleshoot in Clean Boot

Sometimes, a third-party application can interfere with your launcher and stop it from accessing the library. In that case, we need to perform Clean Boot and manually disable processes to find out the culprit. Once you know who the troublemaker is, all you have to do is uninstall them and your issue will be resolved.

5] Run the Installation Media again

While you install software on your system, a lot of the related files get installed alongside it. If these files are not there, you won’t be able to use that app, or the app will crash as soon as it starts looking for that missing file. We are assuming that’s what happened in this case. There are some files that are not installed, and for that purpose, we need to run the installation media again. If that doesn’t work, you can uninstall Rockstar Games and then install it again.
