  • Hi Guys,

    Im having some trouble trying to get prndrvr.vbs to work and keep getting Win32 error code 87. Ive tried googling it but it just says wrong syntax but ive gone over and over it and it and i carnt find them problem. Here are the two im using:

    cscript C:\Windows\System32\Printing_Admin_Scripts\en-US\prndrvr.vbs -a -m «Brother FAX-8750P» -v 3 -e «Windows x64» -h C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\prnbr001.inf_amd64_neutral_aad7da6d7cd23042 -i C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\prnbr001.inf_amd64_neutral_aad7da6d7cd23042\prnbr001.Inf

    I have made sure that «Everyone» Has read and execute permissions on the filerepository folder. I have made sure the folder exists. Im not sure. Please help!

    You’re asking for help with a standard Microsoft tool (which happens to be a VBS script — prndrvr.vbs) — we (the forum moderators) didn’t write that script and nobody here seems to have the exact hardware you’re trying to use and therefore we cannot reproduce
    your specific problem. We’ve already provided suggestions, but if those are not successful, there’s not much else we can do for you since this forum does not guarantee solutions.

    Невозможно добавить код скидки 87 драйвера принтера Win32

    Я искал, но не смог не могу найти
    порядок, зачем работать. Везде я использую из cmd
    cscript %windir%system32prndrvr.-a vbs -m “Xerox Universal PS” -y 3 NT -v
    “windows -h x86” “C:Test”, связанный с курсом i- “C:Testx2UNIVP.inf”

    Каждый раз, независимо от того, какое устройство я использую, я получаю

    Код ошибки 87 драйвера оборудования Xerox Universal PS Win32 нельзя добавить навсегда

    Я могу сделать вывод, что это синтаксическая дилемма, но я лучше знаю, где именно.

    1. Error code 87 when installing remote print drivers…

      here is my code. Everytime I try to add a print driver, I get error
      code 87. I try to use \\ instead of \ in the driver path and inf and it still
      does not work. I am able to install a printer if the driver already exists on
      the remote machine, but if I have to install a driver, it will not work and
      returns error code 87. I have tried prndrvr.vbs as well and I can install the
      driver to the local workstation, but once I try remote, it does not work. Any
      ideas?

      error 87 is invalid parameter.

      I assume you’ve copied the driver files to the remote machine when using
      prndrvr.vbs. The install will fail if the driver files are not local to the
      remote machine.

      still unable to get it copied. That should work, right?
