Как я уже обещала, буду дополнять БЖ историями ремонта всех Bentley с таким же мотором.
«Леди в красном» приезжала недавно на обычное ТО, замена масла с фильтрами. Автомобиль покоряет просторы России без проблем. Но сегодня речь не о ней.
Малышка Bentley («леди в белом»)))) приехала к нам с пробегом 29000км! автомобилю 8 лет. Ездит он не много, а вот стоит с работающим движком — постоянно!
Ошибка по расходомеру воздуха (000267, P010B-004) Левая сторона. Перепроверяем, переставляем с правой стороны, убеждаемся что дело именно в нем. Далее идем искать запчасти)))), а это на Bentley самое забавное мероприятие)))
Итак:
07D906461 Расходомер воздуха на Bentley стоит у ОД — 42000р! ждать 3 недели (под заказ)))
07В906461 Расходомер воздуха на VAG стоит у ОД 25000р. (в наличии, так как идёт еще на кучу автомобилей)
по Москве оригинал VAG можно найти за 17000-19000р.
07В906461 он же 0280218073 по Bosch по Москве стоит 5000-6500р. примерно. С учетом того, что ИМЕННО эта запчасть лежит в первых двух вариантах за 42000 и 25000р.))))
есть HGE за 4000р., но его ставить мы не стали!

Мне кажется брать оригинал или VAG бессмысленно, но остается на усмотрение каждого.
Замена расходомера воздуха на Bentley 07D906461 стоит 1500-2000р.
Мало того, что OBD2 ошибки работы двигателя или других электронных систем автомобиля не всегда на прямую указывают на неработающий элемент, но и в разных марках и моделях автомобилей одна и таже ошибка может возникать как следствие неисправности абсолютно разных элементов электронной системы.
Мы надеемся, с Вашей помощью, сформировать причино-следственную связь возникновения той или иной OBD2 ошибки у конкретного автомобиля (марка и модель). Как показал опыт если рассматривать определенную марка-модель автомобиля, то в подавляющем большинстве случаев причина ошибки одна и также.
Если ошибка указывает на неверные параметры (высокие или низкие значения) какого нибудь из датчиков или анализаторов, то вероятней всего этот элемент исправен, а проблему надо искать так сказать «выше по течению», в элементах работу которых анализирует датчик или зонд.
Если ошибка указывает на постоянно открытый или закрытый клапан, то тут надо подойти к решению вопроса с умом, а не менять бездумно этот элемент. Причин может быть несколько: клапан засорен, клапан заклинил, на клапан приходит неверный сигнал от других неисправных узлов.
Ошибки работы двигателя OBD2 и других систем автомобиля не всегда на прямую указывают на неработающий элемент. Сама по себе ошибка является косвенными данными о неисправности в системе, в некотором смысле подсказкой, и только в редких случаях прямым указанием на неисправный элемент, датчик или деталь. Ошибки (коды ошибок) полученные от прибора, сканера требуют правильной интерпретации информации, дабы не тратить время и деньги на замену работающих элементов автомобиля. Проблема зачастую кроется намного глубже чем кажется на первый взгляд. Это вызвано теми обстоятельствами, что информационные сообщения содержат, как было выше сказано, косвенную информацию о шарушении работы системы.
Вот пару общих примеров. Hey guys, I have a very strange issue with a 2005 Bentley continental GT, when I try to read the fault codes for address 46 – Central electronics the interface hangs and says no response from controller. I am not sure where the issue is, could you help?
Attached is a scan of the car… and here are the steps of what I do:
— hook up a battery charger directly to the posts of the main battery (driver side), charger automatically charges between 15-40 amps
— switch on the ignition, connect the interface, start
— Select
— type in 46 in address word
— press button Go. Here I can all codes and everything that the controller respond with.
— press button «Fault codes — 02». I get a message «reading fault codes…» for about 15-20 secs, then error message «No response from controller!». Weird as the controller responded in the step before.
Very weird as I can do anything else and there are no issues except this one. Here is the scan:

Try rebooting the convenience module? Either locate and pull the appropriate fuse(s), or disconnect the module from the car for a while…
It took a while to find out that the factory manual’s term is «rear body control module» and the fuses are 4 in 2 boxes…
Took all 4 out, waited 30 min, put them back in, checked and the same issue is still there.
A very interesting piece of information is that when the car came in, we scanned it and the fault codes were retrieved, here is the full scan from around 3 weeks ago. (the scan in the first post is from today):

Any ideas where to go from here?
The same behavior has been seen on that vintage/family of CCMs in Phaetons (same platform as this Bentley) and Touaregs (a technological cousin in many ways). I think it might be due to a known issue with . Or rather, a known issue with that family of CCMs that do a terrible job implementing the VW diagnostic protocols, which can almost always smooth over but occasionally it has trouble.
If you have access to a HEX-NET or HEX-V2 interface instead of a legacy HEX-USB+CAN, try that, you may have more success. Or, you can also send some debug info to Ross-Tech. They might or might not be able to help (it’s rare and it’s hard to reproduce in their parking lot) but it’s worth a try. In fact, for the last person that ran into this problem, trying it again under debug altered the timing enough that it worked.

- Disconnect from that module and close
Then look in the Debug Sub-Folder; it should be in C:\Ross-Tech\\Debug\. Zip up the files you find in that directory, and email them to support@ross-tech.com. Include a link to this thread so they know what problem you’re referring to.
Unfortunately I do not have the HEX-NET or HEX-V2. Tried the debug suggestion and nothing changed, same issue. Just sent the files to support as mentioned, looking forward to the response!
As a side note: I guess I’m not up to speed on the interfaces: I currently have HEX+CAN interface and thought that this could do everything, is HEX-NET (or HEX-V2) better (in what ways)?
Also to complete the previous information and help anyone else to not have to read through the 19,500 pages Bentley wiring diagrams, the 4 fuses for the control module are:
1. Driver’s facia fusebox (under steering wheel): F59 (5A)
2. LH luggage compartment fusebox (above main battery (driver side)): F24 (10A), F26 (10A) and F42 (15A)

Update: I just ran a full autoscan and it worked 100%, while before now it was hanging up on AW 46, I had to press [Done…] (I think) and then it finishes correctly. However just now it finished without any intervention however the result for AW46 is a bit weird… Here it is:

The weird part is that this is a coupe so it has no rear door! We have replaced the J388 with a genuine Bentley one, just triple checked the part number and it is the correct superceded one and on top of that the window regulator works great now.
What does all these faults mean now and can I trust the results?

Well it’s the same kind of craziness that Jason had been dealing with previously, and that we couldn’t fix remotely before his module got slightly less crazy.

Not anymore. Current A4 and Q7 have modules the can’t talk to, and so do some of the other VW/Audi as early as MY 2016. For this reason we discontinued the on Jan 1st this year.

Talks to all the modules (including probably that pesky 46 you’re dealing with ), much faster (by a factor of 2 or 3) autoscanning CAN cars, and soon faster on K-line cars; access to new experimental coding info on UDS modules, faster UDS measuring values, talks to supported Lamborghini.

It’s possible that after your repairs, the module is now «fine»(outside of its weird way of doing diagnostics). I’m not going to re-explain what I saw in Jason’s car, but basically your module announces a crazy high number of (20 in your case) and then chokes when times come to list them all; so gives you the 00000 fault code in place of those missing/non existent fault codes.
If you want to be sure and help us fix the code for the HEX-USB+CAN, bring the car here where we can put the 5052A or on it
