    I am installing SQL Server 2012 on my windows 7 64 bit system. Setup failed after sometime and gives the following error:

    Error details:
    Error installing SQL Server Native Client Access Component
    There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A DLL required for this installation to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.
    Error code: 1723
    Log file: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\110\Setup Bootstrap\Log\20131009_150052\sqlncli_Cpu64_1.log

    Following is the URL to access my log file:

    Before setup failed it also prompt the error of sql server 2012 service pack 1 installation error. A DLL is missing.

    I have SQL SERVER 2008 R2 and Visual Studio 2012 premium installed on my system.

Я боролся с этой ошибкой пару дней при попытке установить SQL Server 2016. Наконец-то он заработал, удалив среду выполнения MS Visual C 2010 из Programs and Features. SQL Server снова устанавливает это в процессе установки. Итак, я советую удалить C 2010 Runtime. Это решение исправляет ту же установку, которая выполняется с SSMS. Конечно, получить ошибку «повезло не всем», а только тем, кто работает с 1С версии 8.3.8 и выше.

Благо решить проблему довольно просто, собственно дав Серверу 1С то, что он просит!

Где искать MS SQL server Native Client ?

Скорее всего файл установщик MS SQL server Native Client (он же sqlncli.msi) уже у Вас на диске!

Если Вы не удалили каталог  «установщик», когда скачивали и затем ставили свой MS SQL server 2017 (Выпуск Evaluation).

Тогда искать долго не надо!

Идем «по умолчанию путь» на диск С: там ищем  каталог «SQL server 2017 Media»

I need to install SQL Server Native Client 11 on my computer so I can access an Azure SQL Database (according to the instructions I am following) which is behind my Access Web App.

But Native Client 11 will not install — I am getting the message that it «is not compatible with this operating system». Google suggests I install version 10. Worth a go though I doubt it will work. It installs, but it is not establishing a connection. I get this error when creating a DSN after the login page:

So I change the username to include the server name as instructed and I get this error:

It has been way more than 5 minutes. since I opened the Access Web App connection to From Any Location.

So do I actually have a connection issue or do I have a driver compatibility issue? How do I get Native Client 11 on Windows 10?

Edit: Made some things more clear above and here is some more data:

I realized that my office computer has SQL Express 2012 installed (I am at home right now) so it should have Native Client 11 on it. Sure enough. Do not know why I was able to install 2012 on Win10 there. Anyhoo, I tried to add the DSN on the office computer using native Client 11. I get past the login screen but when I try to select a default database from the drop down I get this error:

So I tried simply pasting the server name into the default database and it takes. But when I test the connection at the end of the wizard, I get the second error above about my IP address begin rejected.

To be clear about one thing, I cannot as far as I know, change the firewall rules on the SQL server as if I had a real Azure account. I have to tell Office 365 to do it via the settings in my Access Web App.

Oh, and I did open port 1433 in the firewall.

So as per the suggestion i deleted all sql files and tried to reinstall again.This was the error log

I am trying to install sql server 2014 along with visual studio.I had already installed sql server but had installed all features available.But then i uninstalled it so that i can install select features.
After many trials on reinstalling ,database engine and server replication are still not being installed(all features or select features installation does not work)

After some research i cleared the pendingFileRenameOptions in regedit but it wont work.
On opening ssms , i get the error in attachment on connecting.
