Приветствую вас друзья!
Кто следит за моим б/ж прекрасно знаю, что у меня начались некие проблемы с задней осью.

В начале, это были мелкие вибрации, которые можно было заметить при полной остановке и старте с места в горку.Затем они могли пропасть на какое-то время, потом снова появиться.Прямой закономерности их проявлений не было.
Сканирование на ошибки, осмотр вариатора на подъёмнике так же не дал результатов.

С каждым разом вибрации стали всё чаще и чаще перерастать в пинки…Стал замечать, буд-то авто что-то держит.
Приведу пример: при разгоне и отпускании педали газа, авто ощутимо начинал тормозить сам, то есть накат на ровной поверхности заметно сократился и это ощутимо.

Решено было скинуть интеркуллер и прозвонить фишку на предмет умерших соленоидов…так же безрезультатно, показания в норме…

При всём этом, расход со значения 6.8-7.3 км/л, что, примерно 14л на 100км по городу, упал на 4.3км/л т🤭, то есть 23л на 100км.

Разговор в одной из мастерских ни к чему не привёл, то есть, люди сами не знали в чем проблема и скорее всего так же, хотели действовать методом исключения.Варианты были:

-Задний редуктор
-Кардан
-Хвостовик
-Вариатор
-Соленоиды
-Фиг его знает что 🤣

Конкретики нет, решено ездит дальше…пинки и вибрации усиливались, расход рос.Была мысль заказать новый пакет фрикционных, около 17.000₽ в Японии, но не факт, что это фрикционные, гарантий никто не даст.

В один прекрасный день словил ошибку P0730
Incorrect Gear Ratio, это было последней каплей.
Заказал хвостовик, записался уже к проверенным ребятам в SubaruShop.

Порядок действий был такой:

1. Проверили уровень жидкости в вариаторе-в норме
2. Слили жидкость в заднем редуктор-в норме
3. Слили жидкость с вариатора…сюрприз, тёмная, хотя откатала 20.000 км
4. Сняли хвостовик, осмотрели визуально фрикционные, никаких моментов, чтобы заострить внимание.
5. Установили контрактный пакет фрикционных, залили старую жижу, так как не было гарантий что поможет.

Поехал тестировать!На протяжении часа в хвост и в гриву, ни одного пинка или вибраций, накат авто и ускорение стало прежним 💪🏼
Завтра утром ещё покатаюсь, если всё отлично, поеду менять жидкость в вариаторе.

Что могу сказать по итогу:

Вариантов по факту получается два:

-Либо фрикционные 31523АА450 (12 шт) + 31593AA151 (2 шт)
-Либо пластиковые кольца 31377AA490 (3 шт)

Что точно, сказать никто не может.
Визуально всё в норме, но тем не менее это помогло.Расход снова вернулся в норму 7.3-7.4, ощущения от езды прежние.

P0730 Subaru Forester

P0730 is a standard OBD2 trouble code. It indicates that your Subaru Forester’s PCM has detected an incorrect gear ratio.

While this code can appear if you changed your Forester’s transmission or rear end gearing without re-flashing the computer, it almost always has nothing to do with an incorrect gear ratio.

An internal transmission problem almost always causes it. Although, P0730 will appear if the transmission fluid is low or dirty.

Before doing anything else, check your Forester’s transmission fluid (on a level surface). If it’s low, top it off, and if it’s dirty, change it. That’s the most common fix for P0730.


P0730 Definition

P0730 Definition: Subaru Forester

Your Subaru Forester’s PCM measures the input shaft and output shaft speed and compares them with one another. If their rotational speeds are further apart than the computer allows, this will trigger P0730.


P0730 Symptoms:  Subaru Forester

Here are the most common symptoms associated with P0730:

  • Transmission Slippage:  Your Taomca won’t accelerate, but RPM will increase without the corresponding increase in speed.
  • Not Shifting Properly:  It may not shift properly due to an internal transmission issue, or it could be in limp mode.
  • Check Engine Light:  Make sure to grab any other codes that appear and cross-reference them with P0730. 
  • Lower Fuel Mileage:  If the transmission is not shifting smoothly and at the right time, it can decrease fuel mileage.

It is not very common for there not to be any noticeable symptoms at all with P0730.


P0730 Diagnosis

Here are the most common causes of P0730 and a proper order of diagnostic operations to check them in.

Check The Transmission Fluid

Check the transmission fluid before doing anything else. If your Forester has low transmission fluid, fill it up and see if it starts shifting and driving as it should. Check the transmission fluid color as well. If the fluid is burnt, it won’t properly do its job as a hydraulic fluid.

Here’s a transmission fluid color chart to compare yours to:

If your transmission fluid color is anything past maroon and you have P0730, changing it may clear the code.

A dirty transmission fluid filter can keep pressure from properly building, which can cause slipping and throw the code.

Listen When You Drive

Drive your Forester at highway speed, pay attention to the engine RPM. The RPM should be steady in a traditional automatic transmission if you aren’t increasing the throttle load. 

If the rpm increases at the slightest bit of extra throttle (but only a few hundred revolutions), that could indicate a bad torque converter clutch.  This condition usually triggers P0740.  If you have P0740, fixing the cause of this code should clear P0730 along with it. If it increases more than that, it’s likely an internal transmission issue.

If the RPM is bouncing around or increasing way more than vehicle speed, that would indicate slipping, and you’ll need to take it to a transmission shop. But before you do, check the wiring from the transmission to the TCM for damage that could be causing P0730.

Check the Wiring

Check the wiring between your Forester’s transmission control module and the transmission for damage. Look for corroded or short wiring. Sometimes road debris can cause damage to the harness.

Internal Transmission Issues

While repairing internal transmission issues is best left to repair professionals, here are the most likely internal transmission issues that can cause P0730:

  • Worn Pump
  • Torque converter clutch or clutch solenoid failure
  • Clogged transmission control
  • Bad shift solenoid or shift solenoid wiring
  • Bad TCM

Conclusion

While many potential issues can cause P0730 in the Subaru Forester, the most common fix is addressing the transmission fluid.

INTRODUCTION:

This bulletin announces availability of reprogramming files to optimize the Transmission Control Module (TCM) used in the TR580 and TR690 CVT.  Customers may experience an erratic upshift caused by microscopic pieces of contamination located in the control valve assembly (valve body).  In some cases, a DTC P0730 can also occur.  The new TCM logic enables the control valve mechanism to discharge the contamination during its control of the normal upshift function.

PRODUCTION CHANGE INFORMATION:

This bulletin will be revised with starting VINs for this logic change when they become available.

SERVICE PROCEDURE / INFORMATION:

Reprogram the TCM following the normal FlashWrite procedure.

NOTE: AT Memory clear and Learning Control procedures are not required to be performed with this reprogramming.

IMPORTANT: Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA) highly recommends connecting either the Subaru

Midtronics DCA-8000 Dynamic Diagnostic Charging System or the Subaru Midtronics GR8-100 Diagnostic Battery Charger to the vehicle and utilizing the Power Supply Mode feature to supply a stable 13.5 volts anytime a vehicle control module is being reprogrammed.

Once the Midtronics charger is connected to the vehicle, if the battery is fully charged, it takes less than three (3) minutes to boot-up the charger, select the Power Supply Mode, and have the battery voltage stabilized and ready for reprogramming.

NOTES:

For instructions on using the power supply mode, reference the applicable User Manual for the Midtronics DCA-8000 Dynamic Diagnostic Charging System and the Midtronics GR8-1100 Diagnostic Battery Charger on STIS.

  • Confirm all electrical loads such as lights, audio, HVAC, seat heaters, and rear defroster are all switched OFF before setting up the charger for Power Supply Mode.
  • Select the correct battery type (Flooded, EFB, Gel, AGM or AGM Spiral).
  • Input the CCA which matches the vehicle’s battery. NOTE: OE and replacement batteries have different CCA ratings.  Always confirm the battery’s CCA rating before proceeding.
  • If using a DCA-8000 Dynamic Diagnostic Charging System, set the power supply voltage to 13.5 volts.
  • DO NOT connect the DST-i or SDI until the Power Supply mode function has completed its battery test mode and the Charging Voltage has dropped to and shows a steady 5 Volts on the display.
  • Once Power Supply Mode reaches a steady 5 volts, connect the DST-i or SDI to the OBD connector and proceed with initiating the normal FlashWrite reprogramming process.
  • Amperage will fluctuate based upon the vehicle’s demand for power. NOTE: If the voltage rises beyond 14V while programming is in process, the procedure will abort. This can indicate a need to test or charge the vehicle battery before any further attempt at programming is made.

VERY IMPORTANT:

This information is applicable to the Subaru Midtronics DCA-8000 Dynamic Diagnostic Charging System and the Subaru Midtronics GR8-1100 Diagnostic Battery Charger ONLY.  It does not apply to any other brand / type of “generic” battery charger whatsoever.  ONLY the DCA-8000 and the GR8-1100 and their Power Supply Mode feature have been tested and approved by SOA.

REMINDER:  If the DCA-8000 or GR8-1100 indicates the vehicle’s battery must be charged, charge it fully using the DCA-8000 or GR8-1100 before proceeding to reprogram the vehicle using the Power Supply Mode.

NOTE:  Control module failures resulting from battery discharge during reprogramming are not a matter for warranty.  Should any DTCs reset after the reprogramming update is performed, diagnose per the procedure outlined in the applicable Service Manual.

IMPORTANT: The NEW TCM Calibration Identification number (CID) for any newly installed programming (as confirmed from the actual control module AFTER installation) MUST be noted on the repair order as this information is required for claim submission.

NOTE: The pack file listings provided in this bulletin are the latest available at the time of publishing.  Updates are often released thereafter without revision to the original bulletin.  For this reason, it is critical to always have the latest version of Select Monitor software installed on your system.  Checking for availability of a later version is done by entering the CID listed in this bulletin into FlashWrite.  If a newer CID is listed as available in FlashWrite, reprogram the TCM using that file.

What J2534 reprogramming capabilities are available?

(4a) J2534 Reprogramming

Subaru reprogramming files using a generic (non-OEM) SAEJ2534 pass-thru vehicle programming device are available by contacting Service Technical Information Company toll free at 1-866-428-2278. The cost for the CD-ROM with all reprogramming files is $75.00 plus S/H and applicable state tax. Files will be updated four (4) times per year, in CD-ROM format, with all available reprogramming service information at the same above offered cost. Authorized Subaru Dealers are provided the same reprogramming information.

Subaru J2534 Reprogramming software meets the latest available J2534-1 specification. Our Reprogramming J2534 Files chart does not specify the Calibration Identification Number (CID); however, this information is included in our offered CD-Rom.

Note: The ECM or TCM being reprogrammed may already contain some or all of the reprogramming files listed in the Reprogramming J2534 Files chart shown by release date. It is possible to damage the vehicles ECM/TCMduring the reprogramming event. Once the reprogramming process has started, it is recommended not to interrupt the process until the event is completed. If you experience any problems, please contact your scan tool maker for further instructions.

(4b) Are all pre-2004MY Subaru vehicles compatible with J2534?

No. Subaru has no reprogramming capability for model years 1996-1998. Starting with our 1999 model year, please see our Reprogramming Pre-J2534 Files chart for affected model reprogramming information.
