Is WiFi and Bluetooth adapter the same?

Both adapters help in eliminating the need of hardwiring your PC to a device. As such, they are similar in some aspects. However, a WiFi and Bluetooth adapter serve different functions. A Bluetooth adapter is mainly used to enable wireless communication between two devices. On the other hand, the Wi-Fi adapter helps in improving the wireless connectivity between 2 or more devices.

Fingerprint and USB not working after sleep, BTHUSB event ID 17

As the title says, sometimes I’m having this issue when waking up the laptop from sleep. Moreover, if I try to reboot or shutdown the PC from Windows I get stuck in the shutdown/restart animation, so I’m obliged to press the power button in order to shut down the PC. After that, everything works fine.

Via event viewer, I discovered the cause is the bluetooth driver: Event ID 17, BTHUSB

The local Bluetooth adapter has failed in an undetermined manner and will not be used. The driver has been unloaded.

I tried updating directly from Intel site to the latest driver (21.110.0.3), but it has happened again.

If nobody have other ideas or solutions, I will try with the package from Asus, even though it’s an older version and it’s not just a simple .exe to double click.

I’m currently running Windows 10 2004, build 19041.450 and I did a fresh install, because my G14 came without OS.

I have an USB-C dongle connected on the right side USB-C and I’m using an Anne Pro 2 + MX Anywhere 2S connected via bluetooth. But, if I remember correctly, it did this thing when I was out from home, so without all these devices connected.
