OPERATION

The SRS-ECU judges how severe a collision is by detecting signals from the left and right
side impact sensors. If the impact is over a predetermined level, the SRS-ECU sends an ignition
signal. At this time, if the side-airbag safing G-sensor is on, the curtain air bag module will
deploy.

DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS

This diagnosis code is set if curtain air bag (RH) squib wire(s) are open-circuited.

PROBABLE CAUSES

  • Open circuit in the curtain air bag module (RH) (squib) circuit
  • Improper connector contact
  • Malfunction of the SRS-ECU

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Check the diagnosis code by connecting a dummy
resistor.
(1)Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
(2)Use the flat-tipped screwdriver to pull out the locking button of D-33 harness side connector
to the direction of the arrow. After releasing the lock, disconnect the connector. Then, reconnect
the connector.
(3)Connect the dummy resistor (Special tool: MB991865) to the resistor harness (Special tool: MB991884).
(4)Connect special tool (MB991884) to the D-33 harness side connector.
(5)Connect the negative battery terminal.
(6)Erase the diagnosis code memory, and check the diagnosis code.

Q.
Is diagnosis code B1441 set?

Go to Step 2 .

Replace the curtain air bag module (RH) (Refer to ).

STEP 2. Resistance measurement between SRS-ECU connector C-160 (terminal
No.55 and 56) and the curtain air bag module (RH) connector D-33 (terminal No.2 and 1).
(1)Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
(2)Disconnect SRS-ECU connector C-160.
(3)

danger To prevents the air bag from deploying unintentionally,
disconnect the curtain air bag module (RH) connector D-33 to short the squib circuit.

Use the flat-tipped screwdriver to pull out the locking button of D-33 harness side connector
to the direction of the arrow. After releasing the lock, disconnect the connector. Then, reconnect
the connector.

caution Insert an insulator such as a cable tie to a depth of 7 mm or more, otherwise the short
spring will not be released.

Insert a cable tie [3 mm wide, 0.5 mm thick] between terminals 55, 56
and the short spring to release the short spring.
(5)Connect D-33 harness side connector to special tool resistor harness (MB991884).
(6)

caution Do not insert a test probe into the terminal from its front side directly
as the connector contact pressure may be weakened.

Resistance measurement between the following terminals.

  • SRS-ECU connector C-160 terminal No.55 and special tool terminal No.1
  • SRS-ECU connector C-160 terminal No.56 and special tool terminal No.2

OK: Continuity (Less than 2 Ω)

Q.
Are the check results normal?

Go to Step 3 .

Repair the harness wires between SRS-ECU connector C-160 (terminal No.55 and 56)
and curtain air bag module (RH) connector D-33 (terminal No.2 and1).

STEP 3. Check whether the diagnosis code is reset.

2010 год выпуска 3 литра бензин в полной комплектации минус Нави ( у нас называлась S65 — не знаю, номера бoлее не встречал такого)

извините что без номеров
1. преднатяжитель водительская сторона
2. преднатяжитель пассажирская сторона

ошибка плавала с апреля 2011 года, был якобы заказан преднатяжитель, но так как ошибка уплыла по сторонам, в сентябре 2011 заменен блок SRS

продолжение — март 2012

3. неактивная ошибка по шторке — 7 го марта сброс и мужик через неделю

записан на диагностику на 22-го марта, буду просить коды ошибок, если все соберу — все сброшу вам, не зажилю ничего!

4. 22 марта — ошибка по шторке с той же стороны, разобрали, пережали, если что — будут менять весь жгут.

PS — Хозяин темы! есть идея! сделай сверху на основании информации конфетян список ошибок, лучше с возможностью поставить там отметки, кто и что поимел, статистика полезет сама собой и будет накапливаться! Но с возможностью ставить флажки по нескольку раз, а не как при голосовании единовременно!

PS 2 — маленькая добавка только, может я не обращал внимания, про 6 или 2 подушки, у нас пишут как то вот так на сайте продавца

2 фронтальные подушки безопасности для водителя и пассажира (система SRS)
Дополнительные боковые подушки безопасности для передних сидений, а также шторки безопасности для первого и второго ряда сидений

откуда все таки тогда 6?

OPERATION

In case of side collision, when the impact exceeding the threshold is applied to the vehicle, and when the impact is simultaneously detected (turned ON) by the side impact sensor as well as by the analogue G-sensor in SRS-ECU, the electric current is supplied from SRS-ECU to the curtain air bag module (squib) of impacted side.

TROUBLE JUDGEMENT

The code is set when the open circuit occurs to the SRS-ECU curtain air bag module (squib) circuit.

PROBABLE CAUSES

  • Open circuit to the curtain air bag module (squib) circuit
  • Damaged connector(s)
  • Malfunction of SRS-ECU

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. M.U.T.-III CAN bus diagnostics.
Use M.U.T.-III to diagnose the CAN bus lines.

Q.
Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Check whether the diagnosis code is set again.
(1)Connect the negative battery terminal.
(2)After erasing the diagnosis code memory, check the diagnosis code again.
(3)Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

Q.
Is diagnosis code No. B1441 set?
Go to Step 3.

STEP 3. Diagnosis check by dummy resistor connection.
(1)Check that the negative battery terminal is disconnected. If the negative battery terminal is connected, disconnect it.
(2)Use the flat-tipped screwdriver to pull out the locking button of right curtain air bag module connector to the direction of the arrow. After releasing the lock, disconnect the connector.
(3)Connect the dummy resistor (Special tool: MB991865) to the resistor harness (Special tool: MB991884).
(4)Connect the resistor harness (special tool) to right curtain air bag module connector.
(5)Connect the negative battery terminal.
(6)After erasing the diagnosis code memory, check the diagnosis code again.
(7)Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

Q.
Is diagnosis code No. B1441 set?

Go to Step 4.

Replace the right curtain air bag module.(Refer to .)

STEP 4. Resistance measurement at the SRS-ECU connector and the right curtain air bag module connector.
(1)Check that the negative battery terminal is disconnected. If the negative battery terminal is connected, disconnect it.
(2)Disconnect the SRS-ECU connector.
(3)

danger To release SRS-ECU wiring harness side connector short spring in the following operations, disconnect curtain air bag module connector in advance, and keep the squib circuit shorted.

Use the flat-tipped screwdriver to pull out the locking button of right curtain air bag module connector to the direction of the arrow. After releasing the lock, disconnect the connector.

caution The short spring may not be released due to the insufficient insertion. Therefore, insert the insulator for 4 mm or more.

Insert an insulator (width: 3 mm, thickness: 0.5 mm) such as cable tie between the CRS-, CRS+ line and the short spring, and release the short spring.
(5)

caution Do not insert a probe directly into the terminal of harness side connector from the connector front side as the connector contact pressure may be weakened.

Take the measurements below at the SRS-ECU connector and right curtain air bag module connector harness side connectors.

  • Continuity CRS- line between the SRS-ECU connector and the right curtain air bag module connector.
  • Continuity CRS+ line between the SRS-ECU connector and the right curtain air bag module connector.

OK: Continuity (less than 2 Ω)

Q.
Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 5.

Repair the wiring harness CRS-, CRS+ line between the SRS-ECU harness side connector.

STEP 5. Check whether the diagnosis code is set again.

Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Check whether the diagnosis code is reset.
Check again if the diagnosis code is set.
(1)Erase the diagnosis code.
(2)Ignition: «LOCK» (OFF) position to «ON»
(3)On completion, check that the diagnosis code is not reset.

Q.
Is the diagnosis code set?
Go to Step 3.

STEP 3. Check the curtain air bag module (RH).
(1)Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
(2)Disconnect curtain air bag module (RH) connector E-04. Use a flat-tipped screwdriver to unlock the locking button at the harness side connector by withdrawing it toward you in two stages, and then disconnect the connector.
(3)Connect special tool dummy resistor (MB991865) to special tool resistor harness (MB991884).
(4)Connect special tool MB991884 to the E-04 harness side connector.
(5)Connect the negative battery terminal.
(6)Erase the diagnosis code from memory, and then check the diagnosis code.

Q.
Is diagnosis code B1441 set?

Go to Step 4.

Replace the curtain air bag module (RH) (Refer to ).

STEP 4. Resistance measurement between SRS-ECU connector D-23 (terminal No.61 and 62) and the curtain air bag module (RH) connector E-04 (terminal No.1 and 2).
(1)Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
(2)

danger To prevent the air bag from deploying unintentionally, disconnect the curtain air bag module (RH) connector E-04 to short the squib circuit.

Disconnect SRS-ECU connector D-23 and curtain air bag module (RH) connector E-04. For connector E-04, use a flat-tipped screwdriver to unlock the locking button at the harness side connector by withdrawing it toward you in two stages, and then disconnect the connector.
(3)

caution Insert an insulator such as a cable tie to a depth of 4 mm or more, otherwise the short spring will not be released.

Insert a cable tie [3 mm wide, 0.5 mm thick] between terminals 61, 62 and the short spring to release the short spring.
(4)Connect E-04 harness side connector to special tool resistor harness (MB991884).
(5)

caution Do not insert a test probe into the terminal from its front side directly as the connector contact pressure may be weakened.

Check for continuity between the following terminals.

  • SRS-ECU connector D-23 (terminal No.62) and special tool terminal No.1
  • SRS-ECU connector D-23 (terminal No.61) and special tool terminal No.2

OK: Continuity (Less than 2 Ω)

Q.
Are the check results normal?

Go to Step 5.

Repair the harness wire between SRS-ECU connector D-23 (terminal No.61and 62) and curtain air bag module (RH) connector E-04 (terminal No.1 and 2).

STEP 5. Check whether the diagnosis code is reset.
