Hello,
First of all not sure if this the right place to post this, but here goes. My pc keeps restarting while in use. So far i’ve only noticed while playing some games, goes ok for a few minutes, then screen goes black and displays the power save mode message,
pc gets completely unresponsive (checked with caps lock key), to the point i have to turn if off manually, doesnt really bluescreen but the error message on come back states a BlueScreen. Have dmp files to share here https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=F616D15B5FEDF1FF!202&authkey=!AKEQUheJY-ZfVX0&ithint=folder%2cHere are my pc specs and the error message found on event viewer:

Hi bnyikos,
Please first check this knowledge base (KB) article:
Windows Kernel event ID 41 error in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2: “The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first”
Also,
according to our users’ feedback, this issue may be related to the chipset power technologies such as:
·
Intel C-State Technology
·
Intel SpeedStep Technology
·
AMD Cool’n’Quiet™ Technology
·
AMD PowerNow!™ Technology
If you are using the AMD/Intel chipset, try the following suggestions to see if the issue can be resolved:
·
Update the chipset driver and the BIOS to the latest version. You can download it
from the manufacturer’s website.
·
Disable the above features from BIOS. You can contact the motherboard manufacturer
directly to consult the BIOS configuration.
If the above suggestions do not resolve the issue, further troubleshooting is needed. Specially, for blue screen/unexpected reboot issues, we must debug dump files
to identify the root causes. Please understand that debugging is beyond what we can do in the forum. It is recommended that you contact Microsoft Customer Support Service (CSS) for assistance so that the problem can be resolved efficiently. To obtain the phone
numbers for specific technology request please take a look at the web site listed below:

PC Crashes to blackscreen and reboots | Kernel-Power Event 41 BugcheckCode 278 | VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (116)
Hi,
As stated in the title my PC just randomly crashed into a «blackscreen» (Both monitors losing signal) followed by an automatic reboot.
This has probably happened once before but I wasn’t in front of my PC when It happened the first time, I just found my PC had rebooted when I returned.
After browsing the web a bit I decided to check my Event log and found the «Kernel-Power Event 41» I also found out that this alone doesnt mean much
so I checked for a BugcheckCode and found 278, which I then looked up and has something to do with my GPU.
My BugcheckCode with Parameters in detail:

BugcheckCode278

BugcheckParameter10xffff8a06633e5010

BugcheckParameter20xfffff80331506350

BugcheckParameter30xffffffffc000009a

BugcheckParameter40x4

After that I read that, it is suggested to look into the WIndows dump files, so I did just that and found a «VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (116)»Unfortunately it seems something with reading the Memory.dmp file has gone wrong since I get countless missing Page errors in WinDbg.
So I don’t know of how much use my Memory.dmp file is in this state, and I am not experienced enough to dig any deeper on my own.
Any help is very much appreciated!
As a disclaimer:
I can say with high confidence that it was not a Heat problem since both GPU and CPU peaked at ~ 80°C, nothing out of the ordinary.
Also PSU should not be a problem either since it is a 850W PSU and neither my GPU nor my CPU are overclocked.
RAM was checked aswell and XMP is running fine at 3200 MHz, well within the possible range of Motherboard and CPU.

No BSOD. Just hangs or hangs then restarts. Was working properly for 3 months until today. What changed was that I moved house and could have rattled my PC around while changing house. So I took out the thing and reassembled everything. Still have random
hang.

Random BSOD, Bugcheck code 278
Help
Hello everyone,
I have several BSOD for a couple of weeks now on an Aurora R4. I will switch to a new computer in 2 or 3 months but I still have hope keeping my almost 10 year old desktop until I received my new one!
First in first, my system is an Aurora R4 of 2012, i7 4820k, GTX780, HDD Seagate 2To, 16Gb RAM. It still runs on Windows 7. Nothing has been replaced of upgraded. Nothing has been overclocked.
Basically, it happens randomly during Windows booting, a few minutes after the desktop had appeared, or 4/5 hours after starting up without any warning… It’s the second time this week and the fourth overall.
I have checked the event viewer, I got a kernel power event. Here is the full report:
EventData
BugcheckCode 278 BugcheckParameter1 Oxfffffa8017f48010 BugcheckParameter 2 Oxfffff88006343ae0 BugcheckParameter3 Oxffffffffc000009a BugcheckParameter4 0x4 SleepIn Progress false PowerButton Timestamp 0
I have searched the different error codes online, but for the moment I haven’t found the exact same parameters everywhere.
What do you think? Do I need anything else than this report to know where the problem actually comes from?
Thanks for your help!
