Reversible Errors is a 2004 American made-for-television crime thriller film based on the 2002 novel of the same name by Scott Turow. It was directed by Mike Robe, who previously directed Scott Turow’s The Burden of Proof, and stars Tom Selleck and William H. Macy. Filming was done in and around Halifax, Nova Scotia, and featured shots of Halifax City Hall and Angus L. Macdonald Bridge.
The film was first shown by CBS in two parts on May 23 and 25, 2004.[1][2] Channel 5 in the United Kingdom has chosen to show it as a single 173 minute film.[3]
Plot[edit]
A young woman and two other people are killed in a Kindle County local bar. Experienced detective sergeant Larry Starczek (Tom Selleck) begins investigation on the murders. Soon everything points to the small-time thief Squirrel. Larry arrests him and makes the thief confess. After a short trial Squirrel goes to the prison where he will be executed.
The story now moves seven years later, as new evidence surfaces. Nobody is so sure any more that it was Squirrel who actually killed those three people years ago. Furthermore, it seems that the judge from his trial wasn’t completely clean.

Old school noir crime flick
«Reversible Errors» is a three hour film noir TV B-movie which tells a convoluted tale of a homicide cop (Selleck), his prosecutor lover (Potter), a defense attorney (Macy), and a judge (Huffman) who all become involved in a triple homicide investigation, a possible wrongful conviction, and another investigation to find the real killer(s). As the film wends its way toward its feel good conclusion — which seems too long in coming — it delves into sex, scandal, drugs, deceit, conspiracy, politics, infidelity, and more all served up in good old fashioned Hollywood movie style; not particularly convincing or believable but not ashamed about it either. A mildly entertaining whodunit which does an acceptable job of covering it’s low budgetness with a mediocre score, Canadian locations, and an uneven production which focuses on the characters in a handful of sets (court, prison, lawyer offices, etc.), this PG-13ish film will make a so-so no brainer lets-stay-in-tonight TV watch for the not too jaded or discriminating. (B-)

Сюжет
Адвокату Артуру Рейвену (Уильям Мэйси) передают апелляцию находящегося в камере смертников заключенного, который признался в совершении тройного убийства, Рейвен пытается смягчить участь своего клиента, хотя дело и кажется безнадежным. Заботясь о своей чистой репутации, прокурор Мюриэлл Уинн, чьи показания были положены в основу обвинения вместе с любовницей пытаются любой ценой не допустить пересмотра дела и пытаются уничтожить улики, которые могут пойти на пользу обвиняемого.
