Hi everyone,

I’m running Joomla 3.10.6. I keep getting such error whenever I click on any of the menus. I cannot update any of the extensions from the back end, is there a way to update them from ftp? What’s causing this error?

I have a PFA in my previous (unresolved) post with PHP injections in my other domains subdirectories :

Possible but not recommended. It is better to fix the issues first.

FPA results from a different website three years ago are useless. Did you follow the recommendations to clean the hacked sites?

Please post the FPA results from this website.

Thankfully this site is clean but continues to give these errors:

Class ‘JFormFieldList’ not found

So I cannot upgrade the extensions, but Joomla is now 3.11

Even if I try to enable debug mode it gives error:
An error has occurred.
0 Call to a member function order() on null

Any advice?

Does that file exist in your webspace?

If not then you are missing Joomla core files. Download the Joomla zip file from https://downloads.joomla.org again, and upload JUST the /libraries folder over the top of your libraries to reinstate any missing files.

Yes the file exists. When I renamed it to .old I was able to update the extensions however I get an error if I click on add article or even globacl configs so can’t turn on debug. I get this error:

An error has occurred.

I can’t open global configs, articles or plugins.

I used to use sh404sef extension, but now when I try to open it I get this error:

Joomla 3.10.11 is not compatible with PHP 8.1.

sh404SEF v4.4.4 must be very old and therefore not compatible with PHP 8 and maybe not even with PHP 7.4. The latest version is 4.24.6, released a month ago.

Are you sure the file configuration.php was saved with the statements recommended for troubleshooting with the Debug option? It is possible that some third party extensions may have turned off error reporting.

Please post the results from the FPA again so that the setting of Error Reporting and the Debug option can be verified.

I tried to upgrade to php 8 as well and site failed.

The class ‘JFormFieldPredefinedList’ is defined in the file libraries/joomla/form/fields/predefinedlist.php, which must be missing. Locate the file in the Joomla 3.10.11 installation package and copy it to the server.

I tried to upgrade to php 8 as well and site failed.

The website will have difficulties with PHP 7.4 as well because it has old versions of extensions like JCE 2.6.11, released two years before PHP 7.4.

Check all third party extensions for compatibility with Joomla 3.10 and PHP 8 before updating. The best environment that can be done is a localhost bundle like Wampserver, where it is possible to switch between versions of PHP.

As an observation, this website has a number of third party extensions, some of which may not have an upgrade path.

I checked that dir and I could see the predefinedlist file, but I still renamed it to .old and put a new file but that did not help. I still get error: 0 Class ‘JFormFieldPredefinedList’ not found

As for PHP, I’m willing to deactivate those plugins but I can’t work from the back end!
If I click on Plugins I get error above.

That said, when I go to extensions manage, I get error: 0 Class ‘JFormFieldList’ not found
If I remove that file, it works and I can get to extensions and able to install new ones.

Hello all,

Issue persists. I tried to upgrade to J4 but had IsAdmin errors so I rolled back to 3.11
I’d like to get rid of these errors, do we have any expert on this?

Use phpMyAdmin from the cPanel or a similar page provided by your host and edit the table _extensions. Locate the plugin row and change the column ‘enabled’ from 1 to 0.

Review and update all third party extensions, like the four year old version of JCE.

For example, Facebook Like and Share has been unpublished from JED because of broken links. Therefore it is safe to assume that this plugin does not support Joomla 4.

Even if a third party extension is listed in the Joomla Extensions Directory (JED), its version may not have been updated because older extensions do not subscribe to the Joomla! Update System. Therefore it is best to check also the developer’s website.

I tried to disable few but there are several dozens.
If I do that will these errors go away and allow back end update?

I see Table: uh46v_extensions, is that it? Which ones are 3rd party?
How do I know which extenion causes this error:
