I have received reports latest version of MO2 is causing some issues. My testers have confirmed to me that reverting back to older version fixes their issue. I’m not sure if its related but do give that a try as well

Not sure what to do here. I can’t run it in admin from MO, and running it manually mean there will be no mods to tick.

PSA: For those of you getting Nemesis Unlimited Behavior Engine Error (6002)

PC SSE — Mod

Sorry to the mods if I broke a rule! I read it, and couldn’t find anything regarding PSA/Tips.

I was stuck on this damn issue for like a week, but I finally found a solution. Yay! Hope it helps!

The Problem

When running the «Launch Nemesis Behavior Engine» function in Nemesis Unlimited Behavior Engine, one of the following (6002) codes would appear.

ERROR(6002): An exception has occured while patching. Report to Nemesis' author immediately
File: Alternate Animation
Message: copy_file: The system cannot find the path specified.: "Papyrus Compiler\backup scripts\Nemesis_AA.psc", "Papyrus Compiler\scripts\Nemesis_AA.psc"

etc. etc,

The [new/best] Solution

(~Credit u/nardo68, u/copperazide, u/Rafuc)

  1. Close Nemesis Engine completely.

  2. Navigate to your Nemesis Engine executable file.

  3. Right click the file, select «Properties»

  4. Navigate to the «Compatibility» Tab

  5. Check «Run this program in compatibility mode for:»

  6. Select «Windows 8» or «Windows 7»

  7. Run Nemesis

The [old/backup] Solution

(Personally not advised for the security implication, but it works.)

  1. Close Nemesis Engine completely.

  2. Open Windows Defender

  3. Go to Virus & Threat Protection

  4. Turn off Real-Time Protection*

  5. Open and run Nemesis

  6. After everything has been compiled, you can turn Real-Time protection back on, or it will turn back on itself in a few hours.

  7. (But really, it’s just a few seconds, turn it back on.)

  8. If it still isn’t working, check for any other virus protection that may be running on your system, and temporarily disable them as well.

*You can skip this step by Just adding Nemesis to your list of exclusions, that way you don’t have to turn your real-time protection off, just to run Nemesis. The process is a bit more difficult than just adding the Nemesis.exe to this list. I’ve heard the entire Nemesis folder needs to be excluded, but that’s never worked for me.

Another [ambiguous] Solution

  • Clean your Nemesis folder by navigating to: SkyrimSE/Data/Meshes/Actors/Character/animations/nemesis_pcea and delete «odd files, but not vortex files.»(???) ~Credit u/Interesting_Wash_198

The [other] Other Solutions

(These don’t really happen with error 6002, but may be worth checking)

  • Make sure you are running MO2 or Vortex or Nemesis in Admin mode

  • Test individual animation packs by disabling them one at a time. (Usually you’ll get error 20_ _ or 10_ _ for these.

  • Re-install Nemesis

  • Try installing an older version of Nemesis

  • Keep pressing the compile button and pray to the gods it’ll work

  • Make sure FNIS is DEAD. (like really really ded.)

  • Clear your overwrite folder of Nemesis and FNIS files.

Hope this helps! :D

Edit: Hey guys! Just wanted to say, one of the best parts of my day has been logging into reddit, and seeing how this post has helped another Skyrim modder fix their issue. I’m very glad to have helped you all out. Cheers everyone!

Edit 2: I’ve discovered this fix also applies to other modding applications such as TEXGen and DynDoLOD, if any of you guys are having issues with that as well.

Edit 3: Updated this, because it was bothering me, how much I have seemed to have conditioned everyone into thinking turning off RTP was a good idea. It’s not. Use the new fix!

The Nemesis engine is a behaviour engine created by the modding community for Skyrim. It allows users to create and customize their own animations and behaviour for characters and creatures within the game. The engine can be used with various mods and tools to enhance the game’s graphics and gameplay.

If you are a Skyrim player, you may have come across the Nemesis error 6002 error. It can be frustrating for gamers as this error dampens the gaming experience.

Fortunately, there are some fixes that you can try to resolve the Nemesis error 6002. Most of these fixes are easy and require a few clicks. In this article, we talk about these fixes to get you back to playing Skyrim in no time.

Nemesis error 6002: Potential causes

Here are some of the reasons why you are getting the Nemesis error 6002 in Skyrim:

Outdated or incompatible mods

If you have mods installed that is not compatible with the version of the Nemesis engine you are using, it could cause errors and crashes.

Missing game files

If the important game files are missing or corrupted, it can cause errors when using the Nemesis engine error including the Nemesis error 6002.

Incorrectly configured Nemesis behaviour profile

Error 6002 can also occur if there are issues with the Nemesis behaviour profiles that are being used, such as incorrect configuration or missing data.

Problems with the animation database

Error 6002 can occur if there are issues with the animation database, such as missing or corrupted files.

Windows security or other antivirus software

Sometimes, Windows security or any other antivirus software on your system is interfering with the functioning of the Nemesis Unlimited Behaviour Engine.

Nemesis error 6002: Potential fixes

Now that we have understood the potential causes of the Nemesis error 6002, it is time to head to the fixes. Below, we have complied a list of potential fixes that can help you to resolve the error quickly.

Run the Nemesis Engine in compatibility mode

One of the first fixes that you can try is runnin the Nemesis Engine in compatibility mode. Here’s how to do that:

  • Right-click on the Nemesis Engine executable file (nemesis.exe) and select Properties.
  • Navigate to the Compatibility tab.
  • Check the box next to Run this program in compatibility mode for
  • Next, from the drop-down menu, select the version of Windows that the Nemesis Engine is designed to run on. If you’re unsure, you can try different compatibility modes until you find the one that works.
  • Click Apply and finally click Ok to save the changes.

Try running the Nemesis Engine again to see if it works this time. It is important to note that while many gamers swear by this fix, it is still not a guaranteed solution.

Disable Windows Defender

As we have explained earlier, Windows Defender or other antivirus software can interfere with the normal functioning of the Nemesis Engine. So, disabling Windows Defender should help in resolving the Nemsis error 6002.

Step 1: Open Windows Security app from the Start menu and then go to Virus and threat protection and under the Virus and threat protection settings, select Manage settings.

Step 2: Switch Real-time protection to Off.

You can add an exclusion to Windows Security. Here’s how to do that:

Step 1: Once you are in the Virus and threat protection settings. select Manage settings and click on Add or remove exclusions under the Exclusions subheading.

Step 2: Select Add an exclusion and then enter the name of the file that you want to exclude which is Nemesis Unlimited Behaviour Engine.exe.

Other solutions

While the above two solutions have worked for a majority of users, there are some other possible fixes that you can try if the above solutions didn’t work:

  • Try opening Nemesis through SteamLibrary insted of Vortex Mods.
  • Ensure that you have downloaded and installed Nemesis correctly.
  • Don’t check the last box of your mod order.
  • If the latest version of Nemsis is causing problems, try the older versions.
  • Try reinstallin the Nemesis.
  • Sometimes, repeatedly pressing the compile button can work wonders.
  • Make sure that the FNIS is either disabled or uninstalled.

The [new/best] Solution

(~Credit u/nardo68, u/copperazide, u/Rafuc)

  1. Close Nemesis Engine completely.

  2. Navigate to your Nemesis Engine executable file.

  3. Right click the file, select «Properties«

  4. Navigate to the «Compatibility» Tab

  5. Check «Run this program in compatibility mode for:«

  6. Select «Windows 8» or «Windows 7«

  • Try opening Nemesis through SteamLibrary insted of Vortex Mods.
  • Ensure that you have downloaded and installed Nemesis correctly.
  • Don’t check the last box of your mod order.

Если кому то надо, ниже закину список установленных модов, часть из них взял со страницы «STEAMIN ENB for Enderal» от steamin661 на Нексусе, а часть с туториала «The 10 Years Of Skyrim Ultimate Graphics Tutorial» от ютубера predcaliber, результат выглядит отлично.
