Konica minolta bizhub 162 ошибка c0070

A multifunction printer like the Konica Minolta Bizhub 162 regularly needs a toner cartridge replacement. This is due to the expected heavy printing workload, it goes through on a daily basis. Thus, users of this printer keep stocks of toner cartridges to avoid delay on printing operations. Yet at times, printer problems are unavoidable. Users could experience a printer failure even after the replacement of a new cartridge. The most common error code that will be set off is the C0070.

An error C0070 is a toner replenishing motor malfunction. This printer blunder surfaces when the toner bottle is not positioned correctly after the replacement. This error is not a huge problem so there is no need to worry. What can you do to solve this printer problem?

What is worst than a faulty printer is not having any clue on how to deal with it. Learn troubleshooting techniques and printer maintenance tips from this blog.

  1. Remove toner bottle.
  2. Switch on the Bizhub 162 without the toner bottle. Wait for several minutes until the printer comes to rest. This procedure allows the printer mechanism (replenishing motor) that drives the toner bottle to return to its home position.
  3. Check the toner bottle for damages or deformities on the notches. If the toner bottle has damages, replace with a new one. Otherwise, proceed to the next procedure.
  4. Reinsert the toner bottle.
  5. Run a test print.

It is important for printer users to have the know-how on their machines. This knowledge will help them solve simple problems. When the toner supply is low, replace it with a compatible TN-114 toner cartridge. And when an error C0070 appears, follow the procedures detailed above.

Bizhub 162 — error C0070 after replacing toner bottle

Hello, I hope come Konica Minolta technican could help me about this.
I’m a Canon technican and for good deal I bought Bizhub 162 for myself. Just to try the difference between Canon and other brands.
And today, I changed toner bottle. While the copier was adding the toner into developer unit, all electric power in the house went off. After the electricity came back, Bizhub reported C0070.
After that I Google it for solution.
    I tried pretty much till now;
    — checked the toner bottle — original, suitable.
    — tried to power off and power on without toner bottle — no success,
    — tried to manualy rotate that black «flag» which turns the bottle. — it rotates normaly, without any force needed.
    — pulled out the drum/developer unit and tried to vacuum out any toner left in the hose from toner bottle sadle to the hole where it goes in the developer unit — no success.

I guess there’s something wrong either with toner replishing motor home position or maybe even in developer unit — maybe the level of toner?

What to do, what to check?
Is there any optical sensor which may be dirty?
Is anything to check in developer unit?

Wil the error C0070 go off automaticaly after the repairment or it should be reset by some combination?

    Thanks in advance!
Next time, I can help antything about any Canon copier.

Yes it does! Thank you very much, Spidula.
I see the position of the M5 (or M6)? and PC7. I hope the only problem is somewhere there. Because maybe I did something more wrong while tried to turn the black «flag» manually and probably the PC7 can’t recognize the home position.
Is there any sign on plastic parts so I can notice where is home position? Should I take carefully look on anything?
This stuff is rather different than in Canon… But hope, I’ll win.

Just to say again thanks to you, Spidula.
I removed the hopper unit and then replenishing motor, PS7 sensor. Everything vacuumed-out and cleaned sensor with brush and alcohol (as I usual do in Canon copiers). Rotated the motor and put it in what I think should be its home position. And now it works!
    Many thanks Spidula!

KONICA MINOLTA: CUSTOMER SAVES $240,000 WITH KONICA MINOLTA MPS

Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. reports that one of its customers, Infirmary Health System, a provider of healthcare in southwest Alabama, has implemented Konica Minolta Optimized Print Services (OPS) throughout its entire network of hospitals, outpatient facilities, and medical clinics, and has subsequently saved over $240,000, as well as simplified the management of 2,000 printing devices and improved and document security.

“Maintaining our large printing fleet across multiple hospitals and clinics was a strain on the IT department and our operational budget,” commented Eddy Stephens, CIO of Infirmary Health System. “It made more sense to move to a single managed print service plan with Konica Minolta OPS maintaining and supporting our entire fleet regardless of the manufacture and model. Not only has it helped to drive down operating costs, but the IT department no longer has to manage multiple vendors or service devices ourselves. With everything else I have on my plate as CIO of a large healthcare provider, printing is now one less thing I have to worry about with Konica Minolta OPS.”

For the past 15 years Infirmary Health, has leveraged Konica Minolta printers, bizhub MFPs, and production-print systems. Looking ahead to the long-term changes in healthcare reimbursements from government and private payers, Infirmary Health turned to Konica Minolta to implement an MPS solution that would help reduce its operating budget and drive costs out of the system. Infirmary Health now saves $20,000 monthly on replacement toner cartridges by moving to Konica Minolta OPS for the ordering and delivery of all consumables, replacement parts, and maintenance kits, regardless of the device make or model.

With a total of 2000 printing devices throughout the organization, Infirmary Health has moved to a vendor-supported maintenance model with a dedicated Konica Minolta technician on site to service and ensure optimal uptime. Now when IT receives a call related to printing, it’s sent directly to the Konica Minolta technician. The combination of a dedicated Konica Minolta technician and local technician support ensure that Konica Minolta can service and maintain all the print devices located throughout nine different hospital facilities and more than 30 satellite clinics.

“Like so many large organizations with multiple locations, Infirmary Health’s printing environment was not optimized for efficiency and was comprised of excess printing, imaging and fax devices,” says Sam Errigo, senior vice president of Business Intelligence Services for Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A.. “Konica Minolta’s Optimized Print Services (OPS) takes the complexity and inefficiencies out of managing a print environment for both productivity and cost savings. If you’re using a Konica Minolta copier, printer or multi-function printer (MFP), you can now recycle toner cartridges – as well as waste toner boxes, imaging units, developer/developer units and drums – quickly, easily and at no cost. Called the Clean Planet Program, this effort is one facet of Konica Minolta’s ongoing green efforts to protect the environment, reduce landfill waste and minimize its ecological footprint.

This program is available to small, home-office, mid-sized and large (high-volume) businesses, as well as organizations that use optimized print services.

You might be wondering how the toner and ink cartridge recycling program works. The process is simple:

Order Konica Minolta Clean Planet box or recycling pallet and UPS labels. If you have an optimized print services agreement, use the established process for printing out postage paid labels.
Package consumables in the Clean Planet box, affix the shipping label and send it to Konica Minolta via UPS.
Upon arrival, Konica Minolta will sort your consumables, check their condition and replace damaged and worn parts with new ones.
The used Konica Minolta toner cartridges are put back together and filled with new toner, tested and then placed in new packages.
They are sold as remanufactured cartridges.
Graphic Enterprises is proud to be part of Konica Minolta’s recycling effort. Let us help you get the program started for your business or organization. Visit our environment page for more information.
Konica Minolta Bizhub 162 Error C0070 Solution

A multifunction printer like the Konica Minolta Bizhub 162 regularly needs a toner cartridge replacement. This is due to the expected heavy printing workload it goes through on a daily basis.

Remove toner bottle.
Switch on the Bizhub 162 without the toner bottle. Wait for several minutes until the printer comes to rest. This procedure allows the printer mechanism (replenishing motor) that drives the toner bottle to return to its home position.
Check the toner bottle for damages or deformities on the notches. If the toner bottle has damages, replace with a new one. Otherwise proceed to the next procedure.
Reinsert the toner bottle.
Run a test print.
It is important for printer users to have know-how on their machines. This knowledge will help them solve simple problems. When the toner supply is low, replace it with a compatible TN-114 toner cartridge. And when an error C0070 appears, follow the procedures detailed above.
