  1. Open the Run dialogue by pressing the Win + R keys.

  1. Type “Firewall.cpl” in the Run prompt and press Enter.
  2. Then, click on Turn Windows Firewall On or Off.
  3. In a private network setting, select Turn off windows firewall.

    When i run the command

     «dism.exe /Apply-Image /ImageFile:flash.ffu /ApplyDrive:\\.\PhysicalDriveN /SkipPlatformCheck"

    i get following error:

    error: 0xffffffff

    DISM failed. No operation was preformed. For more information, review the log file.

    What might be the cause of this?

  • I’ve got my image to the SD card. The Flash.ffu folder had something else than the original zip content. I just deleted it and unpacked the zip file again to have the ffu file available.

    I suppose Error: 0xffffffff means file not found.

    Locate the flash.ffu directory and go there using cd. Then run the code.

Docker / WSL2 – Error: 0xffffffff

To fix the error “System.InvalidOperationException: Failed to deploy distro docker-desktop to AppData\Local\Docker\wsl\distro: exit code: -1
stdout: Error: 0xffffffff” open a command prompt as admin and run the following command:

netcfg -d

This will remove all network interfaces, now restart your machine. You should now be able to start Docker using WSL2.
