  1. Error code: 0x300005e, Trying to connect from Mac OS to Windows 10 Pro through same network

Recently my Remote Desktop connection has been failing between my Mac OS and Windows 10 Pro 21H2 computer. It was working at the beginning of the month, but now I get Error code: 0x300005e. Through my own troubleshooting so far, I have discovered that my Mac cannot ping my Windows computer and vice versa. I have configured my Windows Firewall settings and checked my router settings, and neither should be blocking incoming communications. After my first few attempts to fix the problem, I updated my MacOS to Catalina and updated the Remote Desktop App on Mac to it’s most recent update. Any adv

Cannot connect to WiFi network that is using a MAC filter

    Hello,

I am trying to connect a Windows 10 laptop to a WiFi network that is using a MAC address filter. When I attempt to connect Windows reports that it is «Checking network requirements». Then it reports that it «Cannot connect to this network». I have been able to connect dozens of other devices running everything from iOS to Android to Windows 7 with no problems. However, this is my first Windows 10 attempt. I am not sure what I am missing.

Things I have tried so far:

    • I have triple checked the MAC address to make sure I have the correct one.
    • Contacted the manufacturer of the router and applied the recommended firmware updates.
    • Checked the laptop manufacturer for driver updates for the wireless adapter
    • Turn off the MAC filter on the router

When I turn off the filter, the laptop connects immediately. That leads me to think that problem is a data entry error with the MAC address. To eliminate any possibility of error I cut and paste directly from what ipconfig reports as the MAC address for the wireless adapter. See below for details:

    Code:

Hopefully I am explaining this properly.

I can successfully Remote desktop connect if I am on my local wifi network at work, but when I go home and try to connect from a different network it fails.

I can connect easily with my PC from home , but not Mac High Sierra or Ipad for that matter.

I opened up the port for RDC in my ATT router and I use that IP address:port. This works with PC to PC.

I have the latest version of MRD, I even tried the beta but that had the same version # and failed as well.

I get error code 0x0300008 or 0x300005. Mainly saying the certificate failed.

The host PC is running win7 pro 64.

My PC at home is a small screen laptop, I would really prefer to use my MBPR since it is a much larger screen.

And yes team viewer works, but I’d like to solve this since I’ve spent so much time.

Thanks for your help,

Steve

RD Gateway

  • https://blog.thesysadmins.co.uk/remote-desktop-ios-8-1-0-error-0x03000008.html — настройки политики для NPS;

iisarr
