I’ve purchased a HP Mixed Reality Set and when installing, the Mixed Reality Portal does not recognize the headset. It keeps saying that the headset needs to be connected. I see a code 31 error in Windows Device Manager which tells me that something prevents Windows from loading the driver, and I’ve tried to reinstall other drivers as well. But no luck.
The Windows Mixed Reality PC Check app says that all the prerequisites are being met.
Any idea?

Hi there,
Juste purchased the HP MR Headset couple of days ago, and well, it’s a real pain in the ass.
First setup was easy, plugged it, updated W10 to Falls Creators Update, ran MR Portal and finally managed to setup Steam VR.
As the tracking was completely failing, and after I retried many times to unpair, and pair again the controllers, just decided to unistall the full stuff, and to set it up fully again.
Well.. now, I’m kinf of «stuck», as the headset drivers (Called Hololens Sensors), and the headset won’t turn on anymore.
Searched here and there for official drivers but found nothing so far…
Do you guys met this kind of issue? Any way to fix it?

Driver Version: 27.21.14.6089
I have done a fresh install of Windows 10 and it is still a no go.
In device manager it shows up as HoloLens Sensor with an error:
‘The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
There are no compatible drivers for this device.
To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.’
Trying to update drivers always fails with no drivers found.
I have tried through every single USB port on my MB, it doesn’t even come up on any of the USB 3.0 ports.
My laptop is able to recognise the headset, I have no idea why it can but my main computer can’t see it.

This is bugreport. I haven’t found convenient bugreport form.
I have Lenovo Explorer and I have some problem bug with nevest driver 10.0.18362.1162. The Left controller doesn’t work properly, it isn’t tracked, because its lights is low. But if I install «10.0.16299.1042 it works properly.
P.S. F**k driver silent installation in Windows 10, I have tried every way to disable auto update for Hololens Sendsors driver, but every time it installs nevest driver.

Code 43 On Mixed Reality Headset
To my surprise, changing the drivers did the trick!
I don’t think I updated the drivers, I think I chose older drivers. Weird.
It’s hard to tell from the version date, Microsoft drivers are always 2006 for some reason.
I went from HoloLens Sensors Version: 10.0.17760.1000 to HoloLens Sensors Version: 10.0.17134.1004
If someone wants to replicate my steps:
1. In device manager, right click the hololens sensors with the yellow triangle
2. Click update driver
3. Browse my computer for driver software
4. Let me pick from a list of available drivers
5. Click on HoloLens Sensors Version: 10.0.17134.1004 — if you don’t have these drivers, I think i got them from this link: Download Windows Mixed Reality driver version 10.0.16299.1062 from Official Microsoft Download Center

Hello,
I a have big problem to get my Mixed Reality Headset ready. First I have to say, I try to install the Headset with a Macbook Pro under bootcamp. There were no problems installing Windows 10 Fall Creator x64. I have loaded all updates after the clean
installation and then plug in the headset — first the USB (get a signal tone), second the HDMI (without signal tone) — all via USB-C adapter. Windows registered the new device and installed the headset software from the manufacturer — Dell Visor. But the Mixed
Reality Portal didn’t start and it is also not found on the Start menu or via Cortana.
Then I searched for new updates. There was a new driver but the download was canceled:
Microsoft — Holographic — 6/21/2006 12:00:00 AM — 10.0.16299.1062 (6)I load the driver manually and try to install it via the Device Manager — but no chance. Every time I get the message «There was a problem with the Installation». The device name is «HoloLens Sensors».
Previous unsuccessful Solutions:
- a new clean installation of Windows 10
- download all updates via Windows Updater
- reboot every time after update
- manual installation of HoloLens Sensor, no success
- plug in and out the USB and HDMI cable
- install Windows 10 SDK
- unlock the developer mode
- tried another old Macbook Pro where I can connect the USB and HDMI plugs directly, but I got the same problems
Some data about my system:
- Windows 10 Version 1709 (Build 16299.192) via Bootcamp
- Macbook Pro 13″, CPU i5 7267U with 3.1Ghz, 16GB Ram, integrated GPU Intel Iris Plus Graphics 650 with driver Version 22.20.16.4836
- Mixed Reality Check Software says the Macbook fulfill the minimum requirements
- Dell Visor Mixed Reality Headset
I really hope that you can help me or is it not possible to run a headset on Windows Bootcamp? How is it possible to install the Mixed Reality Portal app or the Drivers without a headset?

I have done a fresh install of Windows 10 and it is still a no go.
In device manager it shows up as HoloLens Sensor with an error:
‘The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
There are no compatible drivers for this device.
To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.’
Trying to update drivers always fails with no drivers found.
I have tried through every single USB port on my MB, it doesn’t even come up on any of the USB 3.0 ports.
My laptop is able to recognise the headset, I have no idea why it can but my main computer can’t see it.

This is bugreport. I haven’t found convenient bugreport form.
I have Lenovo Explorer and I have some problem bug with nevest driver 10.0.18362.1162. The Left controller doesn’t work properly, it isn’t tracked, because its lights is low. But if I install «10.0.16299.1042 it works properly.
P.S. F**k driver silent installation in Windows 10, I have tried every way to disable auto update for Hololens Sendsors driver, but every time it installs nevest driver.

Code 43 On Mixed Reality Headset
To my surprise, changing the drivers did the trick!
I don’t think I updated the drivers, I think I chose older drivers. Weird.
It’s hard to tell from the version date, Microsoft drivers are always 2006 for some reason.
I went from HoloLens Sensors Version: 10.0.17760.1000 to HoloLens Sensors Version: 10.0.17134.1004
If someone wants to replicate my steps:
1. In device manager, right click the hololens sensors with the yellow triangle
2. Click update driver
3. Browse my computer for driver software
4. Let me pick from a list of available drivers
5. Click on HoloLens Sensors Version: 10.0.17134.1004 — if you don’t have these drivers, I think i got them from this link: Download Windows Mixed Reality driver version 10.0.16299.1062 from Official Microsoft Download Center
