    Hey, good people!

I know how to fix BfA!
Just buy an electric bike and quit WoW altogether lol.

I rode it for 14km to work today!
21-24km/h easy, no pedaling at all, got 40-50% charge left
Elon Musk should focus on bikes, not cars

It’s very intriguing to read forum on overclocking and upgrading electric vehicles.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for fun!

Eh, we’ve got one made here in Canada that goes faster and has significantly better range, but it’s also triple the price. I’d like to get one, but at $2000, it’s a bit out of my price range for now. The upside is the Xiaomi C20 is really cheap, but it’s not available here yet, maybe when it becomes available I’ll look at it.

Don’t they have like a hard 28km/h/20mph assisted pedaling limitation, or was that the EU?

I think the iGo ebike does 32 Km top speed because that’s the limit for an unlicensed vehicle.

It’s very easy to remove limiter (not a software job, you have «unsolder» one wire inside black box)
I drove it 2 days in a row 12km to work and 12-14km back to home
Pretty comfortable on the road with cars too and i don’t have a driver license, but 4-5 years of regular bicycle experience.

Best money i ever spent 100%

edit: doesn’t turn on anymore, after an average bump
Retailer says no moneyback, only repair or exchange
I guess i’ll get a new one every time it breaks until they run out of them xD

Can’t imagine my life without it after only 4 days, wtf

    Man that sucks.

My mate built an electric bike with a 750w motor(says 250 on the case so it is legal >.>) and it was good fun for zipping around. Maybe looking into that route will get you more of what you want, it did not sound outrageously difficult and hey, if it breaks you know how everything works.

    Hi,
Nice to know that there is someone out there are using Xiaomi Himo C20, I’m from Jakarta, Indonesia.
I also get myself Xiaomi Himo C20 and it is fun to ride, I almost use it daily for work since the day I got it.
Home to Office 12 km, Office to Home 11 km. Both are using best route for bike.

I have unplug the speaker (alarm — inside the black box) so it does not beep when I got speed more than 15 km/h.
I did some upgrade like changing the crank, saddle and pedal.

I would like to know how to remove the speed limiter that you mention.

    Thank you.

I did a research: you’ll have to buy a new controller and make yourself a 48V battery(3d print a case and follow a step by step guide from youtube)

    and c20 will go 33-35km/h
it will cost like 300$ more.

Does any of you experience this problem?

I often get an error message «E004» on the display and at the same time the electric assistance turns off. Sometimes the whole bike turns itself off.

The battery must move and the electrical connection is no longer conductive enough. It is necessary to block the battery using tape, scratch or serflex.

    Hi!
My Himo C20 shows the same error message on display, but constantly, the modes mid and high do not work at all anymore :C
Have you figured out what the error message means or how to fix it?

    Hello,
I am Philippos from Germany. I also recently purchased a HIMO C20.
Since the manual is in Chinese and I don’t understand it, I have some questions about the bike. You already seem to have quite a lot of knowledge, so I hope that you can help me.

    1.
During the ride the bike beeps all the time. Is that normal and can it be turned off?

    2.
I can’t ride without pedalling. Only at the highest setting and with pedalling the engine seems to run correctly. Can I change anything? Are there manual upgrades to increase the engine power?

I would be very happy about an answer.
    Thank you in advance.

Yes, it’s very easy, just open the controller box and disconnect the beep cable.

    Servus Philippos,
    0. My tip for understanding the manual is that you use the Google translator app on your phone and set it to Chinese-English.
Then tap on the camera icon and choose «instant translation» and just hold your phone camera over the manual, it will get translated automatically and even displayed at the right position! (This didnt work with German in the past, but maybe it does now)
I however seem to have lost/misplaced my manual and cannot find it anywhere online, could you maybe be so kind to scan or photograph it and upload it somewhere for me?
    That would be extremely nice.

    1. Yes it is normal and it beeps due to speed regulations of 15kmph on chinese cycling roads for electric vehicles.
It can easily be removed — as tar0d said — by unplugging a wire in the black box beneath the seatpost.
You can easily use the schematics provided in the manual to locate the speaker, it is indeed a very simple job. (And it will stop people thinking that you stole the bike )

    2. This seems weird.
Sadly I cant help you with that.
For me medium gets me up to 15 kmph and high to 22 (without any pedaling).
Could you maybe try to explain your problem a little bit more? Maybe I or someone else here will have an idea for a solution then.

Sounds like your tachometer sensor isn’t working.
I can try to locate it when I return home. (it has to be somewhere at the back wheel)
Are the modes visible on the display?

Hi all,
I had a 30H error on my e-bike (Himo c26). The display showed a 30H error, I could not turn on the light, although the display showed that it was on. Also, the electric motor did not work. The battery was 100% full. I disconnected all the cables except for the display and the battery. It was still showing error 30H. I tested with components from another same Himo c26 bike and came to the conclusion that the cable / electronics for brake detection is faulty. The display and speed lever as well as the front and rear brake cables are connected to this cable. Only when I released both brake levers (they were not attached to the brake levers) did the 30H error disappear and the light started working normally.

  • #2

The electric motor is working. When testing, the 30H error no longer appeared. I did additional testing, turned off the display, braked with the brakes and turned on the display at the same time. It showed me error 25H. When I released the brakes, the error disappeared. Error 25H is therefore caused by the brakes. Error 30H in various simulations no longer appeared. What I also noticed was that the brakes were not working well, otherwise it was very difficult for the brake line to go back, and I lubricated it, now that’s fine. Maybe it was a problem with the brake cable that it was showing 30H.

Have you learned anything new on the topic? I can’t seem to fix this error ;(

Hello, try blowing or spraying with wd40 or something similar based on oil or petroleum into the holes where the brake wires go through. Water/rain must have gotten into your brake electronics. All the best.

Ya know what? That’s EXACTLY what I did yesterday. After a bit of sand-paper to remove a little rust from the cables, I first applied some oil and then a whack-load of WD40 into those holes. Didn’t work initially, but after letting is sit overnight, it seems to have fixed the problem! No more 30H error! Cheers!

If the + key works, it should switch from eco to mid to high power. If the key- works, it should switch from high to mid to eco power.

Do you have the battery set to 48v? Is the battery charged?

If you just click the + key, the power changes. If you hold the + key for 3 seconds, the light turns on.

Yes, i can switch mode, and battery is charged, helps me in eco mod, but power dont helps me in mid and high mode, can’t start by itself

Himo z 20 and Himo c 26 they have the same screen and the same program.

see the settings here:

Turn off the battery. Take the battery out of the case. This is how you reset the electronics. Wait for 1 minute and then put the battery back in the case.

Check the connector from the display. Unplug it and see if water got into it. Check if the contacts are not oxidized. It’s also possible that water got into your display.

Is it solved or not working?

  • #23

I have two Himo c26 bikes and they are two years old. Both bikes have traveled about 10,000 km in total. At most, we had a problem with the rain a few times, and water went into the brake controller. So far we have solved it with WD40 that we injected into the brake electronics.

We are lucky to have exactly the same bikes so I can test for faults. Because I can exchange devices and electronics with each other.

hi, i try i it but its not working, i try it everythink you tell me, but the problem is still there. In eco mod my electric motor works very nice, but in mid and high mode when I have to hold the gas to make the bike go by itself, it doesn’t want to somehow recognize the gas to make the bike go by itself. The gas has voltage, but I don’t know where the problem is
