“Error code: 54”; «Error code: 74»; “Error code: 1000”; “Err: 51”; “Error code: 109”; “Error code: 64” or Other Installer Error — See Possible Solutions Below — Each is its own separate solution.

1st Solution: Close Adobe After Effects before running Element 3D installer. You may need to reboot your computer in case Adobe After Effects is still running in the background processes. Try to run the installer again.

2nd Solution: Make sure you have Administrator privileges when installing the pack. The folders for the Element 3D assets and the After Effects Plug-ins folder should have full admin privileges also. Then run the installer again to see if it works. *** Tip: On Windows you can right click the installer and choose “Run as Administrator” ***

3rd Solution: Run full Element 3D installer again (not the patch) and choose a local location for the Element 3D assets that’s on the same hard-drive that you’re using to run the installer. Then try to complete the installation.

4th Solution: Run full Element 3D installer and choose a custom location for the Element 3D assets. For testing purposes we recommend the Desktop.

If error continues even after choosing a custom location for the 3D assets, then it may be a problem with the AE Plug-ins location.

To solve this, run the full Element 3D installer again and choose a custom location for both the Element 3D assets and where the plug-in is installed.

To choose a custom location for the plug-in, uncheck all versions of After Effects that may be selected. Check custom option (choose 64bit or 32bit depending on your After Effects version), then browse your Desktop as the location.

Finish the Element 3D installation. Go to your Desktop and manually drag the Element 3D plug-in (not the Element 3D Assets) into your After Effects Plug-ins folder.

Windows: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects CS6\Support Files\Plug-ins

Mac: Applications\Adobe After Effects CS6\Plug-ins

So, my PC is fresh. Recently formatted it and its good to go. I’ve installed Adobe Creative Cloud and then Element 3D without any problems. Also, I’ve installed Optical Flares, too, without any problems.

But when I’ve tried to install Pro Shaders 2, an error code: 1022 appeared. The weird thing is that inside E3D I was able to see the materials, but when I click them, the object’s color change, not the texture, because the original folder that contains these materials is empty. The installer didn’t install the textures, just an empty folder and sub folders which is a «half-success» installation lol.

I’ve tried contacting the support team and they replied back to me with this:

**This has to do with the location chosen for the Element 3D assets when Element 3D was installed. It could also be a permissions issue.

I’ve tried running the Pro Shader 2 installer as admin, but still no use. I’m not so sure about what the support team said «Run the full Element 3D installer (not the patch installer)»? I mean, I only have one installer after all, so what patch are they talking about.

Anyways, I’ve decided to uninstall Element 3D completely and re-install it again, but this time I will choose the default location for the assets in drive C, instead of using a custom location. Sadly, (I regret uninstalling it) the same error appeared for E3D installer as well.

Now, I have neither Element 3D nor Pro Shaders 2 X(

EDIT: I was able to install Element 3D again. I’ve passed the error by re-selecting the same custom asset directory, instead of the default drive C which gave me the error in the first place. But still no solution or response from the support about Pro Shaders 2.

EDIT: Somehow, I’ve managed to install Pro Shaders 2, but still not a complete install, but at least all the materials are there except for the brick folder.

when i’m using element 3d, as soon as i enable the ray-traced options, it’ll show me a pop up error that says : element 3d has encountered an unrecoverable error …

i’m using AE cc 2017 latest version

and this is my laptop specs :

core i7 3GHz — 4500u

nvidia GT 840m 4gb — intel hd 4400 ( ae is supporting my nvidia gpu cause in gpu info it shows both open GL and cuda informations )

8GB ram

windows 10 64bit latest version — 1TB HDD

all of my drivers are updated to the latest version.

btw i reinstalled element 3d + hotfix patch but didn’t solve the problem.

and a couple of minutes ago i enabled AO ray traced again and it didn’t show me that error but it ruined some 3d stuff and when i switched to ssao fixed the stuff, and then again i switched to ray and then ruined stuff.

so, how can i fix this error ?
