Details

CM is returning «403 Forbidden (Invalid domain in From: header)».

Problem Clarification

When calling the new toll free number the call traverses carrier network to customer inbound SIP trunk (SONUS) to AVAYA session Manager to PROCR on AVAYA CM. AVAYA CM rejects the call with a 403 Forbidden Invalid Domain in From header.

Cause

Because CM is configured with an authoritative sip domain and becasue the far-end is sending a p-asserted identity (PAI) the session manager will pass the PAI to CM and if the domains don’t match then the CM will reject with a 403 Forbidden, Invalid domain in From header.

Solution

Customer should create a rule or direct responsible party in the SBC to not send PAI would be the best solution.

If that cannot be done —
An adaptation between Session Manager and CM could also be created from System Manager > Adaptations > Create Module Parameter of DigitConversionAdapter and module value of osrcd=thesipdomain >>> Commit.

Another option could be to remove the authoritative domain altogether from CM (SIP signaling group) but this could have far reaching, unintended consequences.

Error Type 0: Run the short <strong>test</strong> sequence first. If every <strong>test</strong> passes, run the long <strong>test</strong> sequence. Refer to each appropriate <strong>test</strong>’s description, <strong>and</strong> follow its recommended procedures. b. Error Type 1: Failure of the C-LAN hardware (IP-PROCR in S8300 systems) carrying the signaling group chel. To determine which C-LAN had been administered for this signaling group, find the near-end node name on the signaling group form, then find the C-LAN or IP-PROCR with the same node name on the ip-interfaces form. Check for <strong>error</strong>s against the CLAN-BD MO. c. Error Type 18:The signaling group in question has been busied out by comm<strong>and</strong>. Release the signaling group, if appropriate, with release signaling-group grp#. d. Error Type 257: Tracks failures of the H.323 signaling-group PING <strong>test</strong>. See Signaling Group Ping Test (#1387) for <strong>test</strong> failure information. e. Error Type 513: Tracks excessive round-trip delay of the H.323 signaling-group PING <strong>test</strong>, if the round-trip delay exceeds 4 seconds. See Signaling Group Ping Test (#1387) for <strong>test</strong> failure information. f. Error Type: 770: Tracks excessive latency <strong>and</strong> packet-loss from background IP measurements collected by the Media Processor Board. Indicates that <strong>test</strong> packets sent from a media processor circuit pack to the far-end IP address specified on the signaling group form have exceeded the IP latency <strong>and</strong> loss thresholds, as administered on the system-parameters ip-options form. Exceeding these thresholds indicates that the IP network may not be providing sufficient quality of service for adequate transmission of voice. If the signaling group has been administered to enable BYPASS, then Error Type 1025 also occurs. g. Error Type 1025: The signaling group has been placed into a BYPASS condition because of IP network congestion. The signaling group accepts incoming calls, but every outgoing call is denied. The system routes these calls over a secondary route, if one has been administered. 494 Maintenance Alarms for Communication Manager, Media Gateways <strong>and</strong> Servers 2 of 2

H323-SGR (H.323 Signaling Group) h. Error Type 1281: No media processor resources are in service to provide VoIP connections for the trunk members of the signaling group. Check for <strong>error</strong>s against the MEDPRO <strong>and</strong> MEDPROPT maintenance objects. This <strong>error</strong> causes all H323 B-Chels to be in an out-of-service near-end state. i. Error Type 1537: The far end of the signaling group is not ready to h<strong>and</strong>le audio bearer. If the other end of this signaling group is also a Communication Manager server, this <strong>error</strong> means the server on the other end does not have MEDPRO in-service for its signaling group. This <strong>error</strong> places the H323 B-Chels into an out-of-service far-end state. j. Error Type 1794: The Signaling Group reported that the far end has detected excessive packet latency or loss. This <strong>error</strong> places the H323 B-Chels into an out-of-service far-end state. k. Error Type 2049: A Keep-Alive timer is set for every registered endpoint on the Remote Office, <strong>and</strong> the switch expects Keep-Alive updates within that timer’s time period. If the update does not occur, an <strong>error</strong> is logged against REM-OFF as well as H323-SGR. The <strong>error</strong> against H323-SGR generates a Minor alarm. This <strong>error</strong> is only valid if the change signaling-group screen has the RRQ field set to y. The Keep-Alive Error Type 2049 clears only after a registration occurs <strong>and</strong> Error Type 2305 clears. l. Error Type 2305: The Gateway (signaling group on the Remote Office) is unregistered. The <strong>error</strong> against H323-SGR generates a Minor alarm when this failure occurs. This <strong>error</strong> is valid only if the change signaling-group screen has the RRQ field set to y. m. Error Type 2561: The signaling group is registered to an LSP. n. Error Type 2817: The T303 timer timed out. Notification only, no action is necessary. o. Error Type 3585: Layer 3 <strong>test</strong> failed. The far-end is not available. See H.323 Signaling Layer 3 Test (#1673) for more information. p. Error Types 3842 — 3942: These Error Types report certain <strong>error</strong> messages received by the H.323 Signaling Group for the D-Chel. The aux data field shows for which D-Chel the message was received. The <strong>error</strong> code generated equals 3840+x, where “x” is a cause value. There is no recommended action for these Error Types. No direct action or alarming is performed. They provide added data that may be useful when tracking down obscure networking <strong>and</strong> routing problems. Table 136: Descriptions <strong>and</strong> Recommendations for Error Types 3842-3942 provides more information. Issue 5 May 2009 495

Hi,

I have a bunch of AVAYA B179 SIP Conference phones that I can’t get to work, they were working previously but I’m unsure why they’ve stopped now…

I am getting either ‘Forbidden’ or ‘Timed Out’ show up on the phones when I try to call out.

Here are some monitor logs:

Как у вас описана исходящая маршрутизация? Какие линии используются при выходе в город? Сколько у вас таких линий? Что значит «гудок появляется каждый иретьий набор через 9»? Когда ни кто ни куда не звонит и попробовать просто позвонить юзерам с 4 группы, то все равно не сразу получается выход в город? Покажите шорт код, который вы используете.
Сделайте такие настройки: в System — telephone
Dial Delay Time (secs): 3
Dial Delay Count: 0

7123N/N/0 (Line Group ID=0)

When I try to access Avaya contact recorder I’m receiving this error «Bad HTTP status code (403)» my lap config is win 8.1 pro Internet explorer version 11.0.9600.18618 but in other laptop it is working and config is win 8.1 single language Internet explorer version 11.0.9600.18053.

I searched online and tried some solutions but nothing works.

I encountered this same error and my fix was pertaining to conflicting times on the client pc and the server. I changed the client pc time and it fixed the error.
