0x8024000d ошибка обновления windows 10

Ошибка 0x8024000d возникает при обновлении Windows. Причина — агент сервиса обновлений не может найти обязательную информацию в XML-файле, «сопровождающем» файлы апдейта. Методы устранения такого сбоя зависят от того, каким путем обновляется ОС.

0x8024000d

№1: посредством сервера Microsoft

  1. Задать автоматические настройки апдейта. В Командной строке, запущенной с правами администратора, введите такие команды, и после каждой нажимайте Enter:
    • SC config wuauserv start= auto
    • SC config bits start= auto
    • SC config cryptsvc start= auto
    • SC config trustedinstaller start= auto

    После этого — перегрузка ПК.

  2. Запустите стандартную утилиту исправления неполадок сервиса обновлений. Перед этим ее нужно скачать. Она автоматически обнаруживает и устраняет причину проблемы.
  3. Удалите все из папки C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download. Перед этим выключите автоматический поиск и установку обновлений.

№2: при помощи WSUS

  1. Убедитесь в корректности групповых политик. Обновление GPO и предоставление доступа к файлам обновлений всем клиентам в рабочей сети во многих случаях помогает исправить сбой. Также стоит проверить, что SSL настроен верно.
  2. Отключите встроенный антивирус Windows.
  3. Обновите все драйвера на оборудование. Желательней всего выполнять это вручную через Диспетчер устройств.
  4. Проверьте реестр на ошибки. Для этого введите в системном поиске запрос Scanreg.exe и запустите найденное приложение. Можно использовать программы сторонних разработчиков. К примеру, очистка реестра при помощи CCleaner иногда помогала устранить ошибку 0x8024000d.

  • Once we upgraded to Windows 10 Creators «Bad move» we start seeing issues with Windows Defender is not getting the definition update from SCCM. I can see the policy applying to the machines on windows 10 but not the definition. I can see in the
    SCCM client logs WUAHandler Scan failed with error = 0x8024000d, so I went to windows update and try  to get the update definition from windows update I’ve got the same error from Windows update «There were some problems installing updates,
    but we’ll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: (0x8024000d)».

    To correct the issues with Defender definition I have to do it the update manual, I have to stop Window update delete files from C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download. Start windows update services then apply defender definition manual
    after downloading the definition offline.

    Note: All windows 7, Windows 8.1, W2K8 R2, Windows 2K12, W2K16 are working fine and updating the definition. I’ve only seeing the issues on Windows 10 Creators.

  • Finally I’ve got my environment working. We had to run query to delete update from WSUS then run  WSUS cleanup wizard and delete update step by step that fixes the issues on WSUS. On the Windows 10 machines we have to apply this fix  KB4022716
    OS Build 15063.447 which fixes the issues so far. Now I can patch and update End Point Definition via SCCM.

Why did I get error 0x8024000D?

Windows Update continous fails to search for Updates or cannot install them. The source of this problem could be various things as

> Windows Registry
> Windows Filesystem
> Internet access

> Windows Update service
> File corruption
> Misconfiguration
> Adware
> Virus and Malware

However, if you’re technically savvy, you can try the steps below:

1. Click Start and start typing on your keyboard for «services.msc»

2. In your search results «services.msc» should show up. Open it with a click.
3. A new windows will open containing all Windows services on your system.

4. Search for «Windows Update»
5. Right-click the «Windows Update» and then click Stop.

We will now clean the Windows Update temporary cache folder:

1. Hold your windows-key pressed and hit «R» key simultanous.
2. A small new windows will appear.
3. Type %windir%\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore in this new window and click OK.
4. This will open Windows Explorer on the correct location.
5. Delete all contents of this folder. (Hint: Use Ctrl + A to select all files and folders)

Now we will start the Windows Update Service again:

1. Switch back to the windows Services.
2. Locate Windows Update.
3. Right-click on it and choose Start.

If the problem still persists, you can run the System File Checker (SFC) utility. This handy in-built tool will check your filesystem.

1. Click Start and start typing on your keyboard for «cmd».
2. In your search results cmd should show up with an black icon.
3. Right-click it and select Run as administrator.
4. If you are prompted for the admin password, enter the password and click OK.
5. A new completely black windwos will open. You can type commands directly into this window.
6. Type sfc/scannow and press Enter.
7. This process will take a long time. You can minimize this black windows and work on.

Come back to the black window after a time and check if the process finished.
As soon as the SFC process finished, restart your computer. After the restart you search for Updates again.

You are still facing the same issue?

1. Restart your computer.

Next thing is to clean Windows Update download path. These steps are only for expirienced user! If you mess up your computer with Regedit, you could loose your files! Take care or use a professional tool to investiagte your computer.

1. Hold your windows-key pressed and hit «R» key simultanous.
2. A small new windows will appear.
3. Type regedit in this new windows and hit Enter.
4. In the new windows you have a navigation on the left side. Use it to navigate to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate

5. Once you found it, search for WUServer and WIStatusServer in the right hand pane.
6. If they are not listet we cannot clean the download path. Othwerwise delete both.
7. Restart your computer.

Try to search for new Updates again.
You are still facing this issue? I think this is not an usual problem and your computer should be checked by professional.
