071-105 Registration Sensor Jam (Tray 1) RAP

BSD-ON: BSD 7.7 Tray 1 Paper Stacking
BSD-ON: BSD 8.5 Registration

071-105 The registration sensor did not actuate within the specified time after the registration clutch initialized during paper feed from tray 1.

Initial Actions

Check the condition of the paper in tray 1. Refer to GP 15 Paper and Media Size Specifications.

Procedure

WARNING: Ensure that the electricity to the machine is switched off while performing tasks that do not need electricity. Refer to GP 10. Disconnect the power cord. Electricity can cause death or injury. Moving parts can cause injury.

Refer to the procedures that follow as necessary:

• GP 6 How to Check a Motor.
• GP 7 How to Check a Sensor.
• GP 8 How to Check a Solenoid or Clutch.

Perform the steps that follow:

1. Check for obstructions in the paper path.
2. Check the tray 1 feed roll, nudger roll and retard roll, PL 80.11 for foreign substances or wear. Clean or install new components as necessary.
3. Enter dC330, code 077-104. Check the registration sensor, PL 80.55 Item 4.
4. Enter dC330, code 077-002. Check the registration clutch, PL 80.55 Item 11.
5. Enter dC330, code 077-001. Check the PH drive assembly, PL 40.10 Item 3.
6. Enter dC330, code 071-002. Check the tray 1 feed/lift up motor, PL 80.10 Item 4.
7. Enter dC330, code 042-003. Check the main motor, PL 40.10 Item 10.
8. Check the drive assembly, PL 40.10 Item 1 for wear or damage.
9. If the fault persists, install new components as necessary:

• Drive PWB, PL 1.10 Item 4.
• ESS PWB, PL 3.10 Item 6.

Xerox 4112 error 071-105 registration sensor on jam (tray 1)

I have been facing this problem immitantly , machine was working good , but after power up next day , machine xerox 4112 has started giving error of 071-105 for tray 1, 072-105 for tray 2, and 073-105 for tray 3, paper stops exactly in the registration assembly, does not pass any further.

Any support appriciated.

Why you dont buy service manual for the machine ?
Broken gear on pre-registration motor or check for broken gears or worn out drive components or paper guide with problems.

I have service manual , followed it but didn’t got any solution . Checked every gear, motor and sensors .all are good , have cleaned the clutch with petrol , but still same result .

Check the Registration upper chute for paper cuts, catching the paper. Also the wiring harness to the reg sensor can break due to tension and opening 2B.

i have checked both the drawer connector and wirring harness with cable tester , all seems to be good.

i hope there may be any nvm to override any sensor .

Post photos with the exact position of paper stop.
